BacT / F1Re - Situation *UPDATE*

BacT's visa got declined.
F1Re will take his spot.

What happened before:
- BacT won a qualifier for NAC2
- we were starting to organize the visa asap
- lot's of complications and paper work, since Germany apparently is really scared of Vietnamese ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- got a friend to cover for me since I couldn't provide a source of financial stability
- got all the German paper work done and sent at the 19th of December
- Letter of Invitation + paper work never got to BacT

What we are trying now:
- BacT is now trying to apply to a French visa
- he will fly to France and uses the Schengen visa to get into Germany
- it's uncertain if that is gonna work - a friend at his ambassy said 50%-70%
- Vietnamese New Years is starting at the 2nd of February and all public institutions will stop working

Result:
- we will wait to the 1st of February for BacT's visa
- if he isn't getting it by the 1st, F1Re will be invited as the 8th player
- to give something back to BacT & F1re and to start some NAC2 promotion I will do a Show Match Series with them ($100 BO7's with NAC2 maps)

Rough schedule for the Show Matches:
25th - 15GMT - BacT vs TheViper
28th - 15GMT - F1Re vs DauT
30th - 15GMT - BacT vs MbL
01st - 18GMT - F1Re vs TheViper
04th - 17GMT - F1Re vs Nicov
05th - XXGMT - / vs MbL
06th - XXGMT - / vs TaToH

Very clearly explained, great update! One question: Does F1re have any potential visa problems if it doesn't work out for BacT? I think you said on stream that travel is more open between Brazil and Germany but I don't remember for sure.

As far as I know you don't need a visa for Germany as a Brazilian, if you don't stay longer than three months.

Just make him land in Germany and claim he is a refugee. Germans will even grant him free accommodation.

Speaking of the visa problem. Bact could also try applying for one to Poland and go to Poznań by the plane and later to Hamburg by train. Is a good option as well since Poles shouldn't make problems with him entering the country.

I have invited someone from China to Germany and I sent everything via e-mail, even the scanned signature on the invitation letter was enough. Does Vietnam not accept that?

I had suggest France first because Paris and Hanoi get along well, but costs would much higher. I then thought of Denmark because while they are also friendly to Vietnam, Copenhagen is closest major airport to Hamburg outside of Germany. However none of that matters if time to get visa runs out. I am extremely impressed and please that BacT and Nili are will to allow F1Re to replace BacT in the event if Bact is unable to make it for any reason. It just makes great sense since he finish 2nd in both qualifiers. Cheers to all involved for doing whatever it takes to make this one if not the best event ever in our awesome community!

Nili, for Vietnamese citizen, applying for French tourist Visa is the easiest way to go to Schengen countries. When BacT obtains his Visa, he can travel directly to Germany, NOT having to be in France first.
