Wow man this is incredible. Koven vs rd champ is right up there w daut vs Chris for most classic aoc rivalries ever. I've had the honor of playing w rd champ when in UD for wcl training in the past and it will be another honor to be a part of the stream between these legends AND to be casted by viper Jordan an kkab

Dam this is amazing what has happened to aoc in the past few years, 1.4 userpatch w spec, a new expansion (too bad it hasn't been accepted as the norm), grunt halen and all the legends from the last wcl, bo21 between daut and chris and all the other bo21s, and now seeing a rematch of koven vs champ! The aoc scene just keeps getting better, big thx to the sponsor for this, and kkab who appears to have convinced koven and champ to do this, as well as koven and champ themselves

Just so unreal. I cant believe it. These two -- Pele and Maradona is the perfect analogy. Imagine being introduced to soccer (football) at the time they were both in their prime. Time goes on, the torch passes, but no matter how good the modern players are, the originals are always seared into your consciousness. That's what these two are for me. And now they are back!

This is one of those rare moments in your life time, where you feel so happy to the core. For me it has such nostalgic significance that I cant even describe it, its like if I had a wish but they said the wish could has to involve the video gaming world, I would have wished for all the events that have lead up to this one for AOC. I cant believe that the dear game which I loved so much 15 years ago, is going through a re-renaissance, so out of no where when I re-discovered it last year. I cant believe that I can get to watch these 2 monsters which I used to play with back in the day. The sponsor is truly a great man, not only the sponsor, but kkab and the other tyrants as well, They are takin AOC in such an amazing direction, with amazing execution, with Voobly and zone doing their parts. Thanks

Fast forward to the time of feudal fighting, but before the patches, so archers are built faster, vils had less piercing armor, skirmishers had no attack bonus againt spears, and a large mass of skirmishers could kill anything.

He had a "I see you rushing, I won't bother trying to defend with towers and walls, lets fight!" style, especially in early feudal age. I rushed him with a 9:50 4 vil china feudal rush. I made 2 ranges near his base, and some spears. He feudaled at 10:10. This was the time when archers were predominant, so fighting with villagers could be extra dangerous because 5 archers vs less armor vils meant a lot of 'blood in the streets.' I had the hill, he spotted me. Within 10 seconds there were 10 angry villagers, with 2 militia and a scout storming my 4 villagers, 2 spears and 1 archer. 2 minutes later: my entire army dead. 6 of his villagers dead, all my production buildings walled, with 4 of his archers marching towards my base. I resigned, and I was impressed.

Morale: There are times when being a manly man can be the best, or your only alternative to losing.
