AOE-II Turks vs Japanese

Hi all,

I was playing a match 2 vs 2 in Arabia. My direct opponent was Turk and I was Japanese.

I did not scout any aggression signs in feudal so I decided for a boom. We both boomed to Imperial age with same points.

I think I did a mistake since in imperial age I could not find any way to counter so many hand cannoneers and elite janissaries.

It was easy to counter the raids of hussars with jap albs, but I could not win the big battles.

What can a jap do to counter turks in post-imp? GG?

It seems like an "harakiri" to me. Not even 120 halbs can kill 40 elite janissaries.

An Bombard Cannons with extra range will destroy trabs, without losses from trabs fire if you micro them.

trebs have more range, if u micro attack ground well he can never get in to range. The halbs are just there so he can't make cavalry :]

Halbs are a meat shield, not used to kill gunpowder. Use trebs to rain death on them. Hopefully any bombard cannons will get crushed

jap treb fires faster. this helps a LOT vs bbc and siege onagers.

adding skirms to halbs isnt a big problem
can play full trash + treb

As jap you have a far stronger early game and a far weaker late game, so if he decides to boom, you have to kill him before he imps, or at least damage his eco enough so that once you both imp you have more eco thus more units.

1.Don't let him survive to get trade up
2.Destroy his trade route and or carts or both
3.Wall in his goldmines (helps for a time)
4.Use trash and trebs till your ally can trash their markets
5.Main componenets of Turkish army are-(a) HCs/Jannies (b) Hussars (c) BBCs. Attemt to seperate each from eachother. The trash+treb will kill hussars and jannies pretty effectively (BBCs aren't as bad as SOs lol).

Letting Turks get to Imp is suicidal.

There's not much you can do once they're in Imp. You shouldn't have boomed to Imp, you should have attacked him while he's booming.
