They should reverse back market mechanics which was simple and you just had to delete any markets inside your base.
If this change was indeed made to improve trade cogs micro, that is not sensible. I bet you use trade cogs in less than 1% of games and who cares if that crap works well or not.
It would make sense if they could change it so that trade carts got gold based on the market they left - then close markets would just get 5 gold or so until they returned to far markets making it less efficent to build close markets (but they would still go into the current trade route after first trip). I would perfer if it was changed this way (if possible), but tbh if it was in the game since 2000 people would have np with it. For instance I don't thing boar laming was ever intended by the original devs either, so it is also technically an exploit, just one which has been in the game for longer.
Do you need to use it all the time though? What if you just play normal but every minute you take a couple seconds to go to the markets, micro a couple of cards and go back to the army. Just microing 5 carts would already gain you 500 gold in half the time it should.
It doesnt really cross my mind doing that when I play because it feels so fundamentally wrong and I thought it would be fixed anyways. Looking at the reactions makes me think that someone has to really abuse to until people notice how op this is. After all many are only becoming aware of unfairness if it restircts themselves or the people they support.
