TOXIC MEMB?

Recently, Memb has been complaining a lot about streamsnipers, called them badly and urged mods to ban them, and big part of the community have supported him in that. But I want to reveal different flip side of a coin.

I play DE under the nickname "Dirty Player". Almost every game i pick berbers and realise the same strategy, probably there are many players who are not streaming and have played against me, they know that i can find opponents base REALLY fast, and sometimes lame 2 boars + berries +deer at once. Today I had a game against Memb. I was not streamcheating, but i opened his stream to see the reaction, because I have quite novel strategy and I would like to know what some known people in the community would have to say about it. What did I see? Tons of negative comments about myself and threats to report me and to contact mods so that they could ban me. There were tons of negative comments in chat too, calling me lowlife psychopath and ect. Memb was very, very angry at me and continued to insult me, while he refuced to gg in game even though game was completely over (i was winning). At the end i have decided to resign, because i didnt want to play any furhter + memb was almost crying and I was a little worried about his mentallity.

So it turns out, that memb is very toxic player, who accuses his opponents in streamcheating and drives his audience towards bad attitude and toxicity. Do you guys think this is appropriate?

Overall, the situation brings up even broader issue of negativity towards nonconventional playstyles. I play "dirty style" strategies, and every third game i got insulted and have to research spies to finish the game. I think this is fundamentally wrong and unethical, because there is nothing bad in playing douche or vilrush or anything, if it works - it works why insulting the playir who does it?

Dude you're just complaining on human nature (both Memb/and Memb's chat), some people just NEED to do that to evacuate their frustration.

Have you never been a bad loser after a game where you got owned bad?

And 95% of the time when the word "ban" is used in an online setting, it's just for humourous purposes. Coz it's funny to tell someone "I'm gonna ban you", it's hyperbolic, like saying "go to hell" or "imma kill you" IRL. It's just nerdy banter.

So chill out. Both Memb and his chat will forged about you tomorrow.
It's just for the lolz, remember. WP and you're perfectly right, as long as laming is in this game and not nerfed, you can use it as much as you want in ranked games!

This is especially funny because Memb reported me for "taking to long to resign" once.

yesterday i watched a game you played against a friend. you are trash talk there too. I think it's okay to play these strategies. The things around it and this post at the same time do not show good behavior. memb's behavior is of course also questionable, but if you write him his stream title in-game and then react to statements from him on-stream in-game, you can definitely think of stream sniping. There was more of such type of conversation but I didnt want to spend more time on this plus Memb mutes him at some point so there could have been even more conversation of the sort - Memb talking to the stream the guy responding in game.

If you wanted to do that and not cheat all you would have to do is not listen to the stream until after the game, but you're literally responding to memb typing IG.

You play with an account named "Dirty player" you do laming and other annoying strategies and you play against smbd who you know has had problems being stream sniped a lot recently. Even if you do this strat regularly and you happen to find your opponent right away sending your vill forward what exactly are you expection to happen when you have his stream open and respond to him while he is talking to his viewers? Your whole act is to be annoying. You yourself confirm the suspicions you are streamsniping/cheating and than you go and cry in the forum that someone has been toxic towards you. I mean seriously.

I never liked these sort of strats but if you going to play them, trashtalk your opponents trying to further frustrate them You should be ready for a certain responce. And at least grow a pair and not complain when you get a responce exactly what you are looking for.

Eh. I think certain pro players and certain streamers have given alternative strategies a bad name because they are uncomfortable playing against them because they can be both unpredictable and effective if performed expertly. People always praise pro's for creative strategies but when people emulate niche strategies they're bastardized. You'd think people making a living entertaining would recognize innovative and creative ways to play are good for the game.

Insulting someone because instead of pre mill drush they lame and or trush, hoang, or utilize some sort of wacky strat that works is just immature bullshit. (You can't use your inca vil bonus, you should just play conventionally die to my frank scout into knight hp bonus)

Trash talk doesn't bother me personally. If anything it's more satisfying winning when someone talks trash. The mute button is always there for those with sensitive eyes who can't handle DE filtered curse words.

This guy is just clearly streamsniping tho. Even some insanely unlikely chance he was not at all aided by having the stream open, not sure what outcome he was expecting here.

It's literally like being upset for being called a cheater after being caught cheating.

That's literally the definition of stream-sniping.

You can't just open the stream and then use your defense as "Hey but I didn't use any information from there" - That will be like stealing my bank account details and then saying "Hey but I didn't steal your money." It is still a crime because you should not have access to it in the first place.

I wouldn't want to be dependent on your generosity for fairness.
