Hey, guys, I am working on a Tower Defense Scenario since 14.11 on DE, I like the progress I have made so far. I added a Tutorial, a total of 7 Different Towers with different properties and I want to be the first one that uses the new mechanic "Object Selected (Multiplayer)" and its invert to make a Click and Buy Shop, rather than the usual Move X King or Tradecarts to X Location to buy that Upgrade, additional I will be using Variables and the possibility to Display them in the Objectives to Show each player how many Kings, Panics, Tower Immunity (in seconds) each player has, and how many units went through in the last wave.
I thought it would be wise to include the community and ask if they have any special requests or wishes.
I also have several Problems with DE which AoC didn't have:
- Unit HP is capped at 32767 HP (this was bypassed in the AoC version by Damage a Unit with negative Values, Giving Units higher HP values
And Several other problems:
- The Inverse of Object Selected (Multiplayer) doesn't work
- Objectives can't be colourful (makes it hard to distinguish between players)
- Odd Timing issues (Setting a Timer of 10 between Trigger gives you not 10 seconds exactly and its always less like 8-9)
- I cant edit Secondary Projectiles without Mod (e.g I would like a Tower to shoot multiple Arrows, with full damage, but secondary Projectiles only do 1 Damage)
- Gaia doesn't get auto targeted, meaning I am capped at 7 Players, I already requested a Feature that would help, no reply
Should I notice further Problems I will edit the list
I have reached out to Cysion 3 days and asked him for Collaboration, as I think Custom Scenarios (Especially Tower Defense as it was quiet "The Original") make the game fun and give a wider variety of gamemodes, but unfortunately, I haven't received an answer. EDIT: HE REPLIED, he said he will pass it on to the dev teams
The most urgent "Fix" I need is to the Inverse Select Object works as intended: Fires when the chosen Unit is not selected by the chosen Player.
I was hoping for the hotfix to have the fix so I can start working on the Shop system. But no Reply
I could, of course, find workarounds such as Improving the AI Units by Healing them every Second instead of increased HP, Have White Objectives and write p1/p2/p3 etc. next to it, just leave the Multiple Arrow Tower be with 1 Damage per Arrow or let an Item be bought every 5 seconds as long as the Object is Selected. But in my personal opinion, this would decrease the Quality of the Scenario.
So please, if you read this help my voice to be heard. Frankly, the latest Scenario Editor Upgrade was a big step in the right direction, but there are still issues. If anyone from the Official Staff read this, please pass this forward to the designated People
