Hello competitors!
24 hours late, but we are proud to announce, that the significant portion of the tournament is about to start. Now before we get on with the brackets and stuff there are a few things I'd like to talk about, most importantly some changes for the rules. Much of it happened way earlier, but in case you are using a downloaded version of the old rules PDF, or something I'll recap the major changes, and ask you to make sure you are using the most up-to-date version, available here.
Short summary of the changes:
- Pushed the second stage's end by a week, and the final by the same amount. We didn't give enough time before to play 2 sets, sorrs about that.
- Added new cases for bugged maps for which an admin re can be called for (thanks Julinse).
- Added instructions on how to contact tournament admins in case we are needed on short notice.
- The prize got bumped up by another $100.
- Added a post with an example in the recorded games section, on how to report the outcome of a match.
Earlier changes
- Added seperate BO3, BO5 and BO7 civ drafts (with presets) and map drafts.
- Substituted arena for fortress.
With the boring stuff out the way: The seeding was put in the aoezone post, but if you are curious about some stats, the spreadsheet is here:
And finally the most important, the brackets: They are in 2 parts, the second part can be navigated to under Matches > Main Event.
So now you can start scheduling. Use the aoezone subforum, or the discord server, other options only if there is a mutual agreement. Please when scheduling state the times you CAN play and not when you WANT play, to make scheduling easier. Also don't forget that all the maps are played on a version that is available in the mappack, so do NOT use standard maps.
Finally. Have fun guys, and good luck! Show your local lords your worth as a knight!
