Today Dragonstar decided that it is ok to unpause the game and be rude in general when you get lamed.

Just need to check the vod from 3.15 onwards , Hoang needs a pause and Dragonstar just instantly unpauses the game and tells a Vietnamese man to learn English, while he's just had the fortune to know it as it is a national language in India. Hoang was later forced to quit the game as he needed to pause. This behaviour is not even uncommon in low elo games but pro players are supposed to set an example, and dragonstar really failed to do so.

Well not to be devil's advocate, to unpause game is unsportmanship, however we all have bit different understanding about the game. As I personally take laming kind of "I'm a noob and can't win in even game" and at same time whenever dude lamers boar(sheeps is w/e) is like "I don't care about good game, all I care is puntos" so is like zero respect given for a game, so not sure if player who lames every time supposed to get much respect. And again, there will be tons of people who will say "but it's part of the game", well yeah, shitty part, which often decides a game and I can't stop anyone from doing it, but then do not cry that people who are against it give zero respect to you.

To be honest, if you see nothing wrong with laming since "it's part of the game", which I assume it's what Hoang thinks more or less, then why would your opponent see anything wrong with not letting you pause whenever you want? While I personally find unpausing way worse than laming, we should try to understand that, on a purely "bad manners" level, they're not so far from each other.

Also, on a human level, it's hard to blame Dragonstar, unless you don't know Hoang at all. Every game against Hoang is a waste of time already (like 90% of the times) and then you see him pausing, wasting you even more time. And he just lamed you. Well, it's hard to stay cool in such a situation.

In general two wrongs don't make a right. Otherwise all pro-players who face Hoang should be allowed to become toxic and rude and that is not the community this game deserves.

First you'd need to start eating the TCs vs me . And yes, unpausing is legal, same as laming and same as picking civs and doing the same strategy every game just because it's working and doesn't require skill, each is dumb, awkward and ruins the experience.

Unfortunately the list of cheats and unpleasant players is long so having to stop the queue or find something else to do is all too common.

Why would Dragonstar wait for you when you pause the game just after laming him as Mongols? I mean, why the entitlement of "I deserve to pause" when you don't make it fair for the opponent every single game? And crying about "learn English" when your first message is "YOU SAY LIKE DOG"?

Also Hoang, play the way you want to play. No need to change for others if that's what you enjoy. However, understand and accept that other players won't like playing against you and that's fine. Don't expect their best behaviour when you show what is conventionally considered bad manners in ladder games.

I guess streamers hype you up because it is "content" for them. Audience loves to see their favourite top players struggle and curse when playing against you. I am glad that you have found a niche and brand for yourself when even top players struggle for it.

I don't agree with this post though. I am with Dragonstar in this. However, best of luck!

Maybe he has oil and other resources under his mansion. So we could say that we are defending our democracy.
But on the other hand, he unpaused against an mongols picker. So I think he did everything correct.
