The tournament is to be played on Age of Empires II: The Conquerors with the 1.4 Userpatch.
Games are to be played in the Tournament Lobby of Voobly using the VCOM Ladder
All players must log in to the Tournament lobby using the same name as Signed up.
Map Guide for The Uprising
1. Round of 64 |
[linethru]The Round of 64 is to be played as a Best of 5 in the following manner:
Game 1: 2v2, TU_Greenarabia, Aztecs & Mayans
Game 2: 2 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Korean war on TU_Atacama, Byzantine war on TU_Map pack. In the event of a tie 1:1, the winning players fight Hun war on TU_GreenArabia for a total of 1 point.
Game 3: 2v2, TU_Goldrush – Huns & Franks
Game 4: 2 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Goth war on TU_Prarie, Turk war on TU_Continental. In the event of a tie 1:1, the winning players fight Hun war on TU_GreenArabia for a total of 1 point.
Game 5: 2v2, TU_Baltic – Spanish & Goths

2. Round of 32 |
The Round of 32 is to be played as a Best of 5 in the following manner:
Game 1: 2v2, TU_GhostLake – Franks & Spanish
Game 2: 2 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Frank war on TU_Goldrush, Japanese war on MapPack. In the event of a tie 1:1, the winning players fight Frank war on TU_GreenArabia for a total of 1 point.
Game 3: 2v2, MapPack – Chinese & Mayan
Game 4: 2 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Goth war on TU_Baltic, Persian war on TU_GreenArabia. In the event of a tie 1:1, the winning players fight Celt war on TU_Prarie for a total of 1 point.
Game 5: 2v2, TU_Continental – Vikings & Chinese
If the score is 3:0 the remaining maps do not need to be played.
3. Round of 16 |
The Round of 16 is to be played as a Best of 5 in the following manner:

Game 2: 2 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Celt War on TU_GA, Huns War on TU_Graveyard. In the event of a tie 1:1, the winning players fight Mayan War on TU_Prarie for a total of 1 point.
Game 3: 2v2, TU_GhostLake – Chinese & Mayan
Game 4: 2 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Goth War on TU_GA, Mongol War on TU_Prarie. In the event of a tie 1:1, the winning players fight Saracen War on TU_Goldrush for a total of 1 point.
Game 5: 2v2, MapPack - Persians & Japanese
If the score is 3:0 the remaining map does not need to be played.
4. Seeded Draft |
This special stage is designed to allow all previously participated players a chance to add themselves to the Draft list. Basically everyone that has been knocked out can add there name to the list. You must agree to play for any team that drafts you. All Top 8 teams then submit the draft of players in order of preference 1-8 ( 1 being your first choice 8 being your last ) . The lowest ranked team will have first priority on the draft, the top seed will have the lowest priority.
5. Group Stage |
The Group Stage will be 2x Round Robin Groups of 4 teams of 3 players in each . 1st place in each Group will contest the Grand Final, 2nd places for 3rd , 3rd places for 5th and 4th places for 7th overall.
The Group Stage are a Best of 7 to be played in the following manner:
Game 1: 2v2, TU_MapPack – Goths & Hidden Civ
Game 2: 3 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Frank War on TU_GA, Persian War on TU_Goldrush, and Huns War on TU_GA, A total of 1 point.
Game 3: 2v2, TU_GreenArabia – Huns & Hidden Civ
Game 4: 3v3, TU_Ghostlake – Team Random
Game 5: 3v3, TU_MapPack – Franks, Mongols & Huns
Game 6: 3 x 1v1 Simultaneous matches. Winning team states player per map, Losing team then decides who they play: Chinese war on TU_Prarie, Goth war on TU_GA and Spain war on TU_MapPack. A total of 1 point.
Game 7: 2v2, TU_Continental – Byzantines & Huns

6. 3rd, 5th and 7th place matches |
The 3rd, 5th and 7th place matches are a Best of 9 to be played in the following manner:

1. General Rules |
- All players must respect the Tournament schedule and times for each round. No excuse will be accepted for failing to play in the specified time unless with prior Admin agreement. Team's may be warned, receive an admin loss of 1 game or be disqualified from the tournament.
- Every player must respect their opponent. Bad behavior (determined by staff) will result in a warning and may lead to an immediate disqualification. This tournament values not only great skills, but also sportsmanship and fairness. Any insult, racism or flaming will not be tolerated. Laming and mind games in game are allowed.
- All players must agree to the No Smurf rule. Each player must submit all relevant usernames for Admin discussion, and to accurately create seeding. Smurfing and account sharing is not allowed. Any discovery of the mentioned will result in disqualification.
- All games are by default to be played in the Voobly Tournament Lobby using the VCOM Ladder
- Upon completion of match, all recorded games must be posted according to the rules and post them in the Recorded Games section( :arrow: LINK of that respective round.
- Before posting, the recorded game files must be renamed in the following format:

- Additional time to complete your games will NOT be allowed unless with clear prior agreement from admins.
- In case of disconnections, the game must be saved and restored. All of the .mgz recorded game files (multiple parts of the game before/after drop) must be provided when posting the recorded games.
If restoring is not possible, the recorded game should be provided, along with any additional information to the Administration instantly. Subsequently, facts will be analyzed and a final decision made.
- Prizes will be sent via PayPal. If the recipients do not use/have PayPal the prizes will be sent by other means. All / any fees will be deducted from the recipients prize.
- If a game is not recorded, it must be replayed regardless of result and evidence of it.
- By signing up for the tournament you agree to have all your games streamed and casted by the official streamers through using the Spectator Mode on Voobly, brought by the Userpatch 1.4 RC version. The streams will always have a delay to avoid cheating, and no other persons are allowed to spectate your game besides the official streamers, or if persons are granted permission by the tournament Administration for a valid reason. There is no assurance of your games being streamed, but the possibility is there at all times.
- New rules can be added and current rules can be changed. However, Admins MUST inform the players about such changes. Some changes maybe necessary while live and will be highlighted in the lobby. The changes will also be highlighted on this topic as a post reply. All the latest additions in Rules / Settings will be in red.

No Bombard Towers will be permitted in ANY of the games
- Restarts:
In a Best of 3 each team is awarded ONE restart each.
In a Best of 5 each team is awarded ONE restart each.
In a Best of 7 each team is awarded TWO restarts each.
In the placement matches each team is awarded TWO restarts each.
In the Grand Final each team is awarded THREE restarts each.
Either player may call an Admin restart themselves for blocked gold. e.g gold that is blocked by trees.
A restart must be requested no longer than 2 minutes of game time (remember that this is shorter than real minutes). When a game is restarted, the civilizations must be the same as in the previous attempt.
- Any graphic changes that only affects the player's Age of Empires II: The Conquerors are allowed.
- Cheating is not allowed under any circumstances. Players using any kind of cheat will be disqualified from the event and banned from future Voobly, AoCZone events, as well as the AoCZone forums.
- All the game settings provided in this post MUST be followed. Not following them may result in penalties and possibly disqualification.
- No Tournament Admin is allowed to participate for any Team.
- By signing-up for the tournament, you automatically agree with all the Tournament Rules and Settings.
