The first ever draft process for an AOC event has seen an impressive 18 losing entrants sign up, we are very pleased with the commitment shown. The top 8 teams having 18 DM players to choose from is great, apologies to the 10 players that entered and were not lucky enough to get drafted.
I want to thank the players that entered the draft and also the 8 Group teams for making this a fast simple process.

I have to say this draft thing has really added a lot of intrigue/excitement to the event for me. I hope to see it used in future events too. Even if I wasn't picked I'd say the same thing... it really makes things more unpredictable and forces teams to adapt/plan moreso than they would if the teams were contiguous throughout the entire event.
