All this anti-vaxx controversy surrounding Djoker and his special "medical" exemption to play in the Australian Open has got me thinking: what will be AoE tournament organizers' approach to anti-vaxxers attending future LAN events in 2022 (if we have any)?
We know for sure we got at least one pro in AoE2 who's publicly expressed his anti-vaxx beliefs in his stream and probably got a special exemption to play in the biggest LAN event ever in 2021 that was supposed to be only for the vaccinated. Will this be the policy going forward?
EDIT: It seems there was only a daily negative test requirement in Baden-Württemberg (where Heidelberg is located) during the time the event was conducted and so it seems no special exemptions to state rules were granted. Hopefully at least the daily tests were conducted on everyone attending diligently.
Despite that, tournament organizers still have the discretion and responsibility to enforce higher safety standards.
