Hello everyone!

Many of us have been eagerly anticipating who will make it through the qualifier event, Trainee Clash, to The Next Generation Cup.

If you haven't been kept up to date, all information can be found here:

I'm happy to announce that The Next Generation Cup will take place on Monday 18th May at 17:00 GMT.

This is a single-day event, where the top 4 players from Trainee Clash will progress to The Next Generation Cup.

The Next Generation Cup will feature a Semi-final, followed by a Grand final.

Semi-finals (BO3)

Game 1: Huns
Game 2: Franks
Game 3: Goths

Grand final (BO5)

Game 1: Huns
Game 2: Franks
Game 3-4: Loser of previous game picks civ (no repeats)
Game 5: Mirror

Prize-pool

The prize-pool for this event is $200 USD. The winner and attributed trainer taking an equal share of the spoils ($100 USD each).

- No stone walls (palisades are allowed)
- Restarts available up to 1 minute from game start (up to a maximum of 1 per player, per game). Player must specify a valid reason for the restart, e.g. it must not be abused for villagers being killed by the enemy scout.

Further announcements will follow as to who the finalists are, once Trainee Clash concludes on Thursday 14th May.

I'm really excited to co-cast this with Spooly; he has done a tremendous job at hosting this event. Over the course of the past 4 weeks, many of the trainees have worked really hard to get where they are. Most of them can compete at the top level of DM; a remarkable feat considering such a short time span.

This will be a great event!
