We're back with more Delicious showmatches!
You might have seen Viper + Daut vs. Tatoh + Jordan before. But this isn’t a 2v2, it’s a 1v1 co-op showmatch with all 5 games played. As the winning team of the 2023 Delicious Whirled Cup, some of these maps are a twist on familiar territory. But are teammates familiar enough with each other to coordinate on sharing control?
The map pool can be found in the in-game Mods list under “Dragonmilks Delicious Dozen” map pack.
Map Descriptions:
Doppelganger – So there was the African Reed beds from NAC4 and Shady Fish Market from team games. Well, this is the messy 6-vil start version that tweaked elevation for the center rings relative to ARB, with the denser acacia wood instead of reeds. This is the most familiar and vanilla map to kick things off for the series.
Burrito Brawl – At what point are enchiladas reduced to a mere fishcake? We haven’t gone full fiesta and will just call this cross position spawn a burrito of sorts.
Jambalaya Journey – From the Ghost of an unplayed Goulash comes a nomad start. Here, you have the option to build TWO TCs at the beginning…or a dock and camps. With 6 vils you start in the corners as well as 2 in the center. One corner pond may also be unconnected with the others. Where (and when) will players decide to put a TC or two?
Crossfire Cooking – The totally new map for the series – one has TCs in the north and south while the other in the east and west. A little touch of hybrid and center gold contesting...should be a cleaner game right?
Pizza Deluxe – To close out the set, it’s Pizza of course. Probably a familiar sight by now, the Peace-O-Pizza and Personal Pizza have been played quite a bit. For co-op however, the Deluxe version means you can build TWO town centers from the very beginning. Will the teammate be a net positive in dealing with the glory of Pizza?
