You win +15 Elo, you lose -4 Elo.
No wonder 1100 players are 2k2+ TG with a 40% winrate...

Yes, this is actually a big problem. I had a game vs someone who resigned at min 10, because he said his real rating is more like 1200, but his TG rating was about 2k. He has to loose a lot to get to his real rating, which isn't really motivating. The only problem I see is that the ladder is related to the 1v1 ladder. My friend wanted to start playing 1v1 games besides the teamgames, and he won the first game which immediately put him at 1300 1v1 rating and he really badly lost the next 3 games, which demotivated him to continue on the 1v1 ladder.
That is not how it works. It depends on your opponent. You win +15 Elo, you lose -4 Elo.

i.e. when you get carried by better players. I think 2300 TG is an appropriate rating for someone who is <1400 in 1v1. If you had a 2700 TG rating, people would complain here that they got teamed with you.If you stack up with people you know it's very easy but if you get random 900 elo players every game it's hard. also the Elo is so inflated that you need to play 500+ games to get your elo up to a "normal" level.
That guy is 0-11 in 1v1 and 1450 I don't think we should call him "a 1400 player" he hasn't won a game 11.i.e. when you get carried by better players. Even if they change the TG elo mechanics, the "inaccurate" elo still needs months to adjust, unless they reset the ladder simultaneously. We know how long it took them to fix the matchmaking, but it looks like Elo is not on the list
Just reset TG rating to 1v1 Elo and fix the system and start from there.Even if they change the TG elo mechanics, the "inaccurate" elo still needs months to adjust, unless they reset the ladder simultaneously.
Valas got 3k1 elo in TG and top 10 on the ladder and yet he solo queues most of his games (maybe even all of the them, I have never seen him stack). If you stack up with people you know it's very easy but if you get random 900 elo players every game it's hard. also the Elo is so inflated that you need to play 500+ games to get your elo up to a "normal" level.
