Isn't it a little unfair to players who have worked hard to just through no fault of their own take away 1000 elo or so in their tg elo? even if it was inflated? Hgb his tg elo was 4500s and now its 23xx and Hgb is 2k1 in 1-1? players whose tg elo was 2200 or so now 13 or 1400? that might motivate you to play less if what's the point of working hard to constantly grind and win games? even if its fair to change the gaining of elo points based on your ratings and opponents teams ratings you should not be taking away so many points from players. That is bs. Some of the community is stackers sure, but to penalize the whole ladder because some players don't play many 1-1s is totally not cool and might make some people want to play aoe less and the new system isn't a totally accurate representation.

1) People should still have the same #rankings (same for percentiles)
2) The correction has nothing to do with 1v1 rating. People with zero 1v1 played also got their TG elo changed. According to @RAY, the formula is likely to be: NEW = OLD * 0.467 + 485 (EDIT: 425)

have you completly lost your mind or what? HGB and other bullies pointtraded the **** out of the system and now you cry for his 2k lost points? All these pointtraders should have been banned or at very least completly reset.

As crazy as this idea sounds, I think a lot of people actually form this false connection to their elo points. The point to prove this is that many will continue a pointless game for the mere sake of holding on to elo, and I don't mean the Mbl kind. For instance, sometimes I forget I was queueing, and went afk into a game. On maps like bf or arena this would often go into a full on imp battle.
People will feel more confident of themselves after they gained 100 elo over a year, even though the reason they gained that 100 elo was simply due to a growing player base

That and most people play TG's exclusively with friends who tend to be at disparate elo rankings.

My TG is over 100 points higher then 1v1 even after taking away 1000 points so I think the nerf was about right.

Yeah the inflation caused people to believe they were closer to viper on skills cause they had really high tg ranks, i literally have friends who considered themselves 1800, 2k elo while being 1k elo in 1x1, just because of the tg chocolate ladder made them to believe so.

I have seen low elo players complain about them losing the points they have been working their asses for, while the only thing they actually needed to increase their elo was to play more and wait for the lady luck to give them easy matches, previous tg elo system was giving more points for just playing more and not even winning, remember those 3k elo players with 40% win rate? lol the whole system was built in a lie, so it will take some time to settle things down, i haven't played so i don't know how many points are stackers farming from easy matches, if they can still take 10 to 17 points with a low id while smashing noobs, then nothing will change.

This might surprise you but you aren't meant to gain points after every single game. Elo exists to give you fair games as often as possible by matching you with similarly skilled opponents. If you aren't getting better as a player faster than other people do, your elo shouldn't be ever rising.
This also means that no matter what your elo is, 1100 or 2300, you should have a good time playing someone at similar level to you. This is a game, games are supposed to be fun. If your enjoyment is solely tied to seeing increasing numbers, you should perhaps play something more suited to your tastes, like Cookie Clicker.
