Obviously the people who donated are the ones voting on who will participate in TEL #2, but I figured I'd start a thread just to see who most people wanna see involved in this event since it's about 3 weeks away now.
The way I understand it, Jordan_23 is automatically invited to this TEL, and Riut and Chris are ineligible until TEL #3, so keep that in mind when you comprise your list.
Here's the 4 players I'd like to see and accompanying explanations as to why:
JorDan_23 - Automatic qualifier.
dogao - Disappointing finish in CoT in the Final Qualification Stage that a lot of people chalk up to him not being in top shape. Would be good to see how he would perform with more time to practice during his holidays and perhaps more motivated after such a disappointing ending to CoT. Also think he's one of the best water players ever and a fantastic player to watch from an economy standpoint.
Bacgio - DQ'ed from CoT before we could see how he stacks up against other experts with a lot of money on the line. Definitely seems to have the time and motivation to improve and get in top shape for these events. Only drawback may be the no laming rule will probably impact his gameplay moreso than any other expert involved in this league.
slam - I haven't bought into the slam hype as much as other people but he's become AocZone's darling for one reason or another so it'd be good to see how he performs when it really gets down to it. Was the performance against dogao in TEL an anomaly or just a "back to reality" moment for his fans? Including him in this tournament would be a good way to find out.
Honorable Mentions:
F1Re - Really wanted to include him here as even after his elimination to Viper in CoT he's been consistently practicing and trying to improve which is a rarity from top experts nowadays. Think he's getting better by leaps and bounds and maybe an opportunity like this would put him over the top into that "elite" category of players.
FeAge - To me, he's the most entertaining expert to watch and it's not even close. Maybe Yellow could give him a run for his money in that regard, but FeAge in top shape would be a joy to watch and is capable of beating anyone, IMO. We haven't really seen it since WCL 7, though (when he was an absolute monster), so maybe this would be the motivating factor he needs to get back in top shape and provide us with more incredible games like his Aztec war against RiuT in CoT.
