Hey guys!
Don't you think about to get a some kind of partnership?
AOC now is not the AOC 5 years ago. We have streams now, and streams = power.
I know a little bit about one of russian's Starcraft 2 tournament - Ritmix RSL.
One our huge streaming portal have a contract with them Ritmix (this is a company):
- this portal orginize a tournament
- tournament has "Ritmix" in it's name
- they put a banner with Ritmix in their web-site and in all streams (little picture on the right of the screen, for example)
- all games are streaming
- they show a little video between games (~30 sec)
- commentators say some words about Ritmix in all streams
Sponsor:
- donate $9000 for a tournament
- and seems like they pay some money to official streamers (and organizers). I think ~$2000 for all (but I dunno this exactly)
Official stream has ~3000-3500 viewers.
Tournament format: all top CSI players + some invited players + some places from qualification (so everyone can join this). So the tournament is fast enough (all games 1v1). Page in wiki: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2 ... e_Season_5
Why don't to try to write a letter to different companies (who seeling mice, keybords, laptops, etc. companies those products gamers buy) with asking for partnership? It can be somekind of GML#2 but with some places for qulification stage.
Razer, SteelSeries, A4Tech, Asus, Acer, MSI, Creative, etc. A LOT of companies.
Why not to try?
