I know that new civs always have juicy bonuses to make people play them, but isn't the starting food bonus for the lithuanians somewhat broken, both for very fast drushes or fast feudal strats?
Viper killed Nili in 5min with this strat the other dayI actually heard about a famous AoE:II DE beta rush called Christheco rush, which goes like this:
You first build 1 house and barrack and go for 3 militia right away, you only need to gather 25 more wood, so you dont get housed at pop 10, but from then its a normal build, just with the difference, that you kill 1 or two vils, because your opponent doesnt have loom that early and you deny his berries or wood until he is forced to fight you with vils, which brings more and more idle time...
On pro lvl i think it can be good, but when i do it, it messes my eco too much cause i am only a 17++ player :-(

100 might be more balanced but it would feel even more like a copy of the Persian bonus... It's such an overlap already, I really dislike this bonus. Could be much more creative for a similar effect, but alas...It is very good. I guess they will reduce it to 100 or less in the end. Do you think 100 is more balanced?
they had a really good opportunity to implement an original bonus but the devs don't have much in the way of originality. Instead of cumans as a civ there should have been khazars and they would get spies starting in the dark age since they are jewish
it would work on all civs. and if you are wondering how this bonus would be balanced, khazar vills would work 15% slower because they can't work on the sabbathWouldnt that spies bonus only work on civs that use android?
So why would you pick persians if you have a civ that starts with 3x more food? I have never been a fan of repeating bonus for different civs exactly for this reason. As well as this is why I dont think that adding even more civs was a great choice. We had 31 already and basically every eco and militar bonus have been implemented at this point.
Hoang : 1v1 2k Huns -> 1v1 2k LithuaniansHoang sends his regards.
Which is why the villagers should work 20% faster instead of slower. If working less days reduced efficiency, why are upcoming policies promoting a 4 working day week instead of a 5? :Dit would work on all civs. and if you are wondering how this bonus would be balanced, khazar vills would work 15% slower because they can't work on the sabbath
Persia also has +5% faster TC in dark age which basically means +1 vill when reaching feudal age. And their faster TC eco bonus is working whole game.So why would you pick persians if you have a civ that starts with 3x more food?
I'm trying to balance the civ here. Since when has realism ever mattered in this game??Which is why the villagers should work 20% faster instead of slower. If working less days reduced efficiency, why are upcoming policies promoting a 4 working day week instead of a 5? :D
Do you mean gathered at the same speed, but the villager always receiving 5 % more? I think then under 10 % is difficult, because it would be less than 1 unit.I think its to similar to Persian +50 food. Perhaps a better bonus would be something like all food income +5% or something. This is also so that their early game isn't to op and the civ would actually have a bonus that is used for the entire game.
Im gonna be real with youDo you mean gathered at the same speed, but the villager always receiving 5 % more? I think then under 10 % is difficult, because it would be less than 1 unit.
If the food sources just keeps more food than what is gathered, it's just a part of Mayans' bonus.
So many economy bonuses have to become similar, if they don't include new units or new technologies. How about being able to train sheep from the tc or mill. AoE III and some mods had that. That's a food-related early-game thing that doesn't exist in AoE II yet.
