The Pantanal is the largest continental wetland in the world, located in Brazil, portions of Bolivia and Paraguay. It is home to immense biodiversity. However, it faces many environmental problems partly thanks to human influence: deforestation, degradation of land, increased soil erosion, and water resources contamination. These are coupled with cattle breeding for beef production and over-fishing.
I visited the area for a week in 2014, and while problems already existed, I still had the pleasure to enjoy wide, undisturbed and peaceful nature.
Now the region as a whole and, in particular, the floodplain is facing its worst crisis in decades. Under the 2020 severe drought, the biome has been suffering from human-made fires and has had about 26 % of its area affected by flames - and is still burning as of today, with little information reaching international news.
Therefore @marciocolombia and I will host a charity event to raise money for the NGO SOS Pantanal, who are involved in fighting the fires and protecting and restoring the Pantanal.
4 teams will play on October 14, starting at 14 GMT, to spread and support our approach:

*players have confirmed, but teams might still slightly change if availability changes.
The event is completely open to streaming, if you spend time before and between games to talk about the issue and link both SOS Pantanal's home page and the donation links.
Oba the Greattt has already confirmed to stream the event in Portuguese on Twitch.
Nova will cast the event in English on Twitch.
Loco Ser will stream the event in Spanish on Youtube.
Participating players will stream their POV.

Event settings:
Settings: Random Map, 4-player size, Standard resources, Dark Age start, Standard victory, Teams together.
Maps uploaded as "SOS Pantanal map pack" mod. The highly abundant caymans (crodociles) are generally weaker than standard crocodiles and/or defensive.
Pantanal (by Huehuecoyotl22):
High amount of food. Highly variable swamp generation. Additional gold and relics on islands in the swamp. Players can train hunting wolves from a hut.
Pantanal (Burned) (by Huehuecoyotl22):
Like Pantanal, but with no herdables or huntables. Fish are still abundant.
Random River (by Zetnus):
The river generation is very random, so this image only represents one out of many possible generations. You might be separated from an enemy or ally or on the same land.
Swamp Fever (by Chrazini, modified by Huehuecoyotl22):
Players start close together on the middle island with few resources, have to move out to the outside land.
Cattleland (by Huehuecoyotl, based on Meadow by Chrazini):
Mostly grass. 4 palm forests on hills and reed forests on shallows in the corners. Players start with 2 town centers each. The center pond has relics guarded by caymans and immobile cow herds grazing on its shore.
Tropical Marsh Madness (by biz):
Marsh Madness and its tropical version are similar to Land Madness, just with the outside water and shallow rivers through the land. Forests are surrounded by unbuildable rock terrain. Relics are to be found on the islands in the corners of the map.
