you only get banned if you don't preface your very tepid criticism with "I think Hera is an amazing player and an even more amazing content creator."Is this a bait to get banned on Hera's channel to anyone who types here?
Yeah it's not good drama. Don't have much experience here. Sorry to disappoint you.seems like not good drama rate.
Yeah man didn't want to come across as "toxic" (as some may feel so). Just being nice by adding the things he is actually good at. There's no denying that part.ou only get banned if you don't preface your very tepid criticism with "I think Hera is an amazing player and an even more amazing content creator."
I think Hera is an amazing player and an even more amazing content creator. He works really hard at the YT content and everything. I think he may as well be the first person to reach 2k6 but for some viewers like me (perhaps a minority), it doesn't matter if you are 2k6 if you can't be tolerant of the opinions of others. You may be even 3k but you've lost some bit of my respect today (not that you might care about a random viewer's respect anyway).
Context (Hera's stream around 17:30 GMT today): Hera vs Villese rated game. Really nice game. At some point during a pause (when Hera asked for sry go), Villese said yes but I have to go in 5 mins (he had a HC4 qualifier I think). Game goes on for another 10 minutes or so and then Villese calls gg even though he is ahead (but Hera can come back ofcourse). This is all fine. No problem with that. You don't want to lose those hard-earned points, I get it.
What I found problematic: But when some people (including me) expressed their opinion that maybe he should have resigned there (which he can disagree with of course), it got a pretty bad response. Hera said don't write your opinion if you are not a 16xx and go watch my road to 2k video. Then he added that this is the reason you will always be stuck on 1000 elo. After that some people got timed out and the chat was put on subscriber mode only (the usual go-to thing for many streamers to suppress dissent but it just shows censorship).
While you may have your opinion on whether he should / should not have resigned - the actual thing which I found really bad was the intolerance of these opinions on his chat. I don't think anyone needs to be 16xx to have an opinion about what constitutes taking the high ground in this case.
Anyway, I've decided not to watch Hera's streams anymore. Because I am old and I can't reach 16xx now so I'm not welcomed to have opinions, apparently. I assume he and his mods would find it good riddance. That doesn't bother me, I'm not a regular viewer anyway. I am just an old AoE2 viewer who found something quite rude and is just pointing this out so that this doesn't go unnoticed.
As any streamer, if you are reading it - be respectful first, no matter how good you are. Otherwise, some people won't stick. But of course you don't have to care about that since you will get many new viewers. It's still not justified though and that's why I'm writing this. Can't imagine Viper/Daut (been watching them for 4 years) say don't write your opinion on my chat if you are not a 16xx.
PS - Hera and his mods, I'm an old guy and I don't really hate anyone, so don't start calling me names. Relax. But I get to decide which content to consume and I don't want to consume one where viewers are spoken to like this.
Anyways, this thread will be labeled as drama, so you don't have to worry. That's fine at least it will get the attention of those who care about this stuff.
Is she the highest rated woman?Recently discovered Gabi_AoE. Awesome brazilian streamer, a 2k 1v1 woman with a killer smile and great skills
That's what her bio said, and I think she's right! Is she the highest rated woman?
To OP, that stream might not be aimed at you. Luckily we're living a golden age right now, there are plenty of fish in the sea!
2k+ viewers with hundreds of messages per minute in chat and Hera didn't have to resign.(...)

What I saw and heard was a heated debate between many many people. Hera is one of the (very) young top experts and streamers in this community, so it's no big surprise that he didn't let it go immediately - this probably will change when he's a bit older (like Viper/DauT ?!).(...) just oneMy suggestion: Don't judge Hera as a player, streamer and person by just that one incident, getting carried away happens to the best of us.

2. Hera is still obviously very young (probably younger than a good portion of the community) and is sensitive. I’ve noticed this over the last few months watching him that it doesn’t take much from the chat to set him off... and sometimes his reaction as well as his moderators’ reactions are disproportionate to the actual “negative” commentary. I think as he gets older he’ll gain more perspective and realize the massive amounts of support he gets from the community far outweighs a few dissenting comments here and there.
Interesting honestly. Gabi must be the third girl in aoe history to be 2k if I am not mistaken. First one I believe was RoR Kisz who I think was toward 2100 in zone, then CTC_happy_lala who was 2k but more of a TGer.That's what her bio said, and I think she's right!

She matched FeAge on 1v1 ranked yesterday, tells you all you need to know
What you leave out is what happened next. He queued against MBL. All throughout the game people are talking **** that he stalled the game on purpose to get freelo. Only after the end of an *entirely new game* with people still talking **** and calling him disrespectful and a cheater did Hera turn the chat to sub only because people just would not stop with the negativity.
You chose to portray this as dissent getting shutdown immediately when in actuality it took a whole game before he got bothered about people spamming negativity in the chat. Any well adjusted human would express their opinion about whether he should have resigned or kept playing maybe 5 or 10 minutes after the end of the game with Vilese instead of choosing to continue with it to the point that the end of a new game you're still on the same bullshit.
Especially watched it to jump in on the commotion. Hera was fully in his right to take the win, even if there is only 5% to win the game, Villese decided himself to play a game when he didn't have the time.
Hera knew well what he was doing, he slipped up a bit by saying 'I don't need [castle tech]'; he didn't make the tech switch to skirms in time either, any other game he probably would have done so already. He was taking quite heavy losses, while being Pepecontent
But you have to ask yourself, is it worth the fuss, to always tell others what they should do, and what are the morals; most players know ELO is just a temporary number anyway
Didn't you say you didn't care about him not resigning?Or just say yeah I perhaps should have resigned there and the comments would automatically stop.
