But here there will be no Secret or aM and Suomi as the 4 top players only in 4 brackets. There will be many matches without 2k players. That's to consider.Back in the day, sling was good in some tournaments (WIC for example) becouse made it possible for underdogs to get surprising wins against strong teams. Sling its no easy, its about strategic thinking. Sometimes was about the smarter team, not the more skilled the one who took the victory. From the spectator point of view was ok, but this is not longer the case. Teams like Secret or Suomi will dominate the other teams without a doubt, they master the art of "slinging", would be difficult to find unexpected results sadly.
In terms of competition, sling is bad, because it precludes a wide range of different strategies, especially those that privilege offensive play.
You are only allowed to sling someone in the ages below until imp where you can just sling.

So in Feudal Age, any player can sling all other players that are not yet in Castle Age as much as he/she wants? That could still be a big Fedual sling.I would change it a little bit and make it "you can also sling a team mate that is in the same age or below".
Do you think that many players play in ways which they don't like just because other team members tell them?this might make it even worse, as the weakest players might be reduced to sling all the time, making it a bad tournament experience for them.

Remember that 2v2 World Cup.Do you think that many players play in ways which they don't like just because other team members tell them?
Well that was my point. I don't think tournaments shouldn't be too organized around what the audience wants. That's why I think Viper didn't have to apologize for winning a Grand Final 4-0 ending all games in dark ageIt's a teamgame strat. It works and is not something I like to see as it feels boring.
It is too strong, that's why there have been multiple nerfs used in tournaments, but it still is a very dominant strategy. The reason for it being restricted is mainly because it doesn't really show the players skill, as pretty much anyone can wall up and sling. It is also boring for the players. The question I may ask is why has slinging been restricted in the first place? Was it because it made games boring / unbalanced for the players or because it didn't produce enough exitement for viewers to watch?
I see, thanks. Well I feel like it's the same discussion for laming, it's easy to do (for pros), very strong despite not showing particular skill, but because boring for players there's debate on weather to ban it or not.It is too strong, that's why there have been multiple nerfs used in tournaments, but it still is a very dominant strategy. I actually think there's a lot of viewers who prefer to watch games with sling, since they can be quite exciting, since there's one team pushing, but they have to do damage or the other team will have more people with army.
