In my opinion the slavs farming bonus is a bit too strong and should get a small nerf. What do you think?
slav borsch and plov is good, make sense farms work fast, in fact would suggest buff by 5%.
Slavs aren't too strong. Military wise, They have only one thing and that is halbs + siege push. Those Druzinha upgraded champs don't do anything. That upgrade doesn't take into account the main problem with champs, which is being microed down. The only option for that civ is to get up faster (thanks to farms) and do a siege + halbs push. In my opinion, this civ is balanced. They have their advantage in certain time-frame but they are not unbeatable.
I would be interested in your argumentation instead of just "it's too strong". Why is it too strong? What makes the Slavs as a Civ too strong with it?
I agree. The eco bonus is IMO by far the best in the game, being very useful since early feudal till the end on any map (except pure water maps). In 1v1 arabia slav can usually go common line scouts - wall - 18/19x castle time - 2x stable kts, gain map control, fwd sw + monks in imp choose between halb + siege/cavalier or boyars/champ, all being very decent choices given their eco and a lead they should get till imp vs most of the civs. Overall the civ is really strong in too many situations and that's mainly because of their eco bonus. There are more strong civs with wk, but slavs have extremely powerful 1 line due to all bonuses going 1 direction, so they aren't really interesting decision making wise either - similar as korea in that regard.In my opinion the slavs farming bonus is a bit too strong and should get a small nerf. Faith is almost only useful on BF TGs/in DM. Still the civ has FU hussar with great farm eco behind so don't think that imp monks are huge issue (they are overall, but not exactly for slavs I mean). Don't think that Faith would change much here and with Heresy they'd get even stronger in imp on Arena (mainly because their siege would profit heavily from heresy).If slav should do one thing, then they should get faith. They are awful to play vs monks in lategame. The farmbonus is strong, but i would keep it as it is, why down nerf everything.
With tower nerfs I imagine slavs being even easier to survive an early game to a superior mid and late game in arabia.
In Arena, I have never lost as slavs and never won against slavs in fair matched games. Can go scouts as if it was a normal civ and basically live on map control, almost impossible to smush due to the amount of food they have free, can smush very well because of their cheaper siege and quick imp/good eco behind. Can boom and defend for the above reasons. Champs against eagles, halbs against cavalry, and siege onager/siege ram VS any traditional counter to either of those. I've often 3TCed to an incredibly quick imp for cavalier to smash aztecs. Early on their military buildings effectively cost 25 wood less. I think either their bonuses need a hit or their tech tree needs two hits. Possibly Reducing farmspeed and siege workshop cost to only 10% cheaper each, or remove cavalier and/or husbandry.
ah allright.Their farm bonus isn't acting as it should, it'll most likely be changed to something closer to it's intended value in a future patch. Other than that, the civ is fine.
Don't expect a huge nerf, it will be between 1.5% and 2% slower than currently before hand cart and about as fast as today with hand cart.ah allright.
If you smash astecs with Slavs on arena , your opponent is just a noob.
Slavs has no chances vs astecs in any age.
