Should I preemtively tower opponents woodline while trushing in mid feudal?

If so, should my tower fully cover his woodline (if its possible)? Or leave some space allowing him to finish the lumercamp first?

If you can afford to, I would do it. Letting him build the lumber camp first but then not actually able to take wood would be the fivehead play, but personally I think just denying the woodline altogether is also good.

Making towers on woodline ur opponent might move to pre-emptively i call BacT Towers .

He is like the only player i remember who used to tower woodlines for u using them in future ,
Like making tower on ur woodline just outside the range of ur defensive tower's range so that once u cut 1-2 layers the tower will do it's job .

He used to even tower future tc spots in feudal age u might want to expand to xD

Yo also did something similiar back in the days from what I recall. Like vs some player there’s a tower vs tower war, Yo built one 2 tiles back on an important wood. Annoyingly effective.

I also think some 23+ Asians also did this too, like I want to say some FJ guy? Forgot his nick though.

similar to my elo. i personally hate tower rushing in early feudal, especially going for direct towers because it is so easy to batter the tower down with vils and then you have 4 vils exposed with no protection. MAA tower rush on the other hand i like as you can somewhat defend your fwd vils.

but to answer your question, I think preemptively towering your opponents woodlines should never work. its a good thought process, but what happens is you are investing vils on stone to gather enough stone for multiple towers, and hence cannot match the opponent's army numbers leaving yourself completely exposed at home. Have seen many times people trying to tower my woodline and such but not have enough military where i just move to another woodline and counterattack, dealing so much damage (especially their stone, if i deny that i can then prevent any more defensive towers from him where the game can snowball out of control for them)

That being said it has potential to work if your opponent has a very very bad map and no extra woodlines. Like if it is his only one woodline, you can do a 1 vil tower on it, and thats not a huge investment so you can make army too, in fact outnumber him even as he will only have stragglers, which you can then transition into full feudal + more towers once u kill more and more vils/idle economy. At this phase, I say going ahead and preemptively towering a woodline is great, as there is a chance he gets to castle faster but with less eco/vils and eventually pushes out for wood with castle age tech
