You may feel that with 1200 games you "should" be better, but at the end of the day you are going to reach a point that you don't improve from so don't worry too much about that. Unless you truly find enjoyment from the "self improvement" side of grinding ranked, in which case there are some other great tips for how to get better and maybe climb some hundred elo.
I personally hate the feeling of being in a losing position in a game, that for the longest time I would always just yolo strat (castle drop/fwd siege/ 1 tc multiple stable knights) if I felt I was losing, to just end the game quickly either way.
Luckily for me, it turns out that's often actually the best strategic choice aswell, as if you are 15 vills behind in castle age, then trying to catch up by booming when your opponent is already on 3tcs will rarely work.
However, now that I'm trying to improve, I try to force myself to stay in the game and play relatively standard if I'm slightly behind rather than immediately commiting to a yolo all in.
