By signing up to the tournament, you agree to follow the rules and settings. If you have any questions, a piece of feedback or would like to propose a change, please make a post in the Announcement thread.
Rules could be modified to suit the playerbase better or to cover more corner cases. Whenever a change is made, I'll add a description at the end of this post.
Due to the limited manpower, please be respectful with other players and don't try to exploit the tournament rules in your favour.

There is no limit in the amount of players that can sign-up to either event. However, the main events will be limited to 32 players each. If more than 32 players sign up to either event, a single elimination qualifier will run on August 1st and 2nd, between 15GMT and 20GMT. These games will be played simultaneously in similar fashion to the Red Bull Wololo tournament and the second day will happen only if we can't get all the series played the first day.

Players must be respectful to other players and admins. This includes, but isn't limited to:
- Respect tournament time frames
- Try to be flexible when scheduling so both players can play at comfortable times, when possible
- Respect the time of other participants by showing up on time for the series
- Not dragging the games out pointlessly
- Pausing the games only if necessary, and not by very long periods of time
- Understanding the tournament limited man-power when asking for things
Basically be a good sportsman/woman and you'll be good.

One of the players must post a .zip file in the corresponding forum section (low elo | mid elo) as a new thread. If the series finished with less than the maximum amount of games possible, make sure to add dummy recs to the .zip to prevent spoiling.
The format to post the recs has to be comparable to this:
-Title: Player A vs Player B - Round of 32/16/8/QF/SM
-Results must be marked as spoiler
-Files inside the zip have to be labelled g1, g2, g3, etc including dummy games
This was changed to simplify the process as it is not possible to share the files via PM and not all the players use discord to send me the files so as to do it myself.

Players will pick their home maps and bans before a series begins.
- Bans are global. You can use the rest of the civilizations that didn't get banned, but not more than once per player per series.
Example: Player A picks Civ X in the first game, Civ X is still available to Player B after that game (unless both used it in the first game).
- Home maps can be picked from any of the 4 map pools listed below, but a map pool can't be used more than once per series.
Example: "Player A" picks Kilimanjaro as their home map, then Nile Delta and Serengeti can't be picked in that series anymore.
- Drafting Order: When banning civs and drafting maps before each series, the following order will be used, with Player A being the higher seed:
- Player A: Picks Home map (for Bo3/Bo5/Bo7)
- Player B: Picks Home map (for Bo3/Bo5/Bo7)
- Player B: Picks Home map (for Bo5/Bo7 only)

Restarts: Each player will have 1, no questions asked, re available each per series. A re may be called before 5 minutes into the game.
Admin restarts: These can be claimed by a player if at least one of the following conditions applies:
- A starting gold or stone doesn't have more than 3 sides available to a player.
- A starting resource generates in an area that isn't accessible by the player at the beginning of the game (inc. stranded boar/sheep/deer patch, trapped golds, etc)
An admin restart doesn't count towards a player's available restart.
Drops: whenever a players gets desynced, loses internet connection or drops for whatever reason, players must attempt to restore the game. If the files from the players have different restoring times, the file of the dropped player will be prioritised (to prevent idle time for the dropped player). If restoring isn't possible under these conditions, then the game must be restarted using the same civilizations. There can be only one restart due to drops that results in different restoring files.
Admin wins: Whenever possible, try to work the issues out before resorting to admin wins. If this isn't possible, admin wins will be available under the following conditions:
- A player has not informed of their inability to play the series at a previously arranged time, doesn't show up within 15 minutes after the arranged time, or is not able to schedule or reschedule at all.
- A player has not been able to finish a series and isn't able to reschedule.
In all cases make an effort to reschedule and play as many of the series as possible.

Laming:
- It is not allowed to lame lurables with your starting scout (boars, rhinos, elephants).
- It is not allowed to wall enemy resources in, unless you intend to use a resource to protect the base of a tower. In this case, only wall the tiles immediately protecting the base of your tower and leave the rest of the resources open (so you can wall up to the 8 tiles around your tower base). If you're not using enemy resources to wall your tower, then you can wall further (using houses, etc).
Vill-fighting:
This is allowed after minute 5.
Vill fighting refers to fights between villagers. A scout is allowed to target villagers before minute 5.
Trushing:
This is allowed.
Douching:
This is allowed.
Here's a good video on how to defend yourself against a trush, from expert player Hera.
Here's a good example match of how to defend yourself against a douche, from a Viper game.
While some players do find it frustrating to be trushed/douched do keep in mind such tactics represent a huge risk for the attacker, as well. If you learn how to defend you'll be well prepared to survive one or even punish it.
