We are 80 hours in now and I cant believe i'm actually saying this, but it gets more exciting every second! The only thing we are missing out on is a streamer fully casting the rest of this game. Now we only have those two soldiers' POV's.

Yeah? but how does this relate to their game? In their game they both are the ones who do not call gg and are dead, not one of them. You can go talk about how in theory Ruben can win, but that is very slim chance, especially if viewers wouldn't say if he is afk or not. With stream sniping and seeing if he is afk, there is a chance, but that chance is so high that he couldn't win in 48 hours, so yeah...

both streams are offering same content as the dude chopping trees on a BF gigantic map with one villager slow speed, at least there there was some villager action.

Heavily disagreed, although I first thought the same when I watched this yesterday for a brief moment.

Only today I found out they were playing a real game, it was fascinating to see how it came to this situation.
This is not some scripted "content", this is real and it is amazing.
Of course this has little to do with aoe2 anymore except for highlighting the lack of a "draw" option, but this one has a real story unlike the mentioned woodchopper-stream.

If Andre would have camped his monastery with his berserks, he would not have lost it and with 4vs1 relics he would have easily won the game. But at one point he was bored and not so serious, went forward with his berserks to destroy some buildings and Rubenstock used the opportunity.

I think it's beautiful how it got into this situation. As Tendo said, not sripted, just a crazy sequence of events.

Ruben sleeps naked and he can sleepwalk.

Two things to follow up:
How long can AOE2 servers can handle an ongoing game?
What are the twitch numbers of Ruben, does it effect AOE2-AOE4 numbers at all since viewers numbers are generally so shallow lately for both game.

I think we’ve also learned to make sure auto farm is turned off in the super late game… iirc ruben auto-seeded two farms (one of which I think he had lamed in Andre’s base) and because of those farms couldn’t afford a new monastery.

Yeah I remember he was always throwing down huge donos as the game was getting momentum in 2019 while still on Voobly and now it seems like I never see him mentioned.

Not a big deal but there's no need to shame what others find enjoyable.
There's plenty of people who would shame you for playing aoe2, cause in their mind you should be finding a more important purpose in your life than playing a videogame.

well this social experiment now has raised never before asked questions about the game:
how long is the max time an AOE2 game can be running before crashing? does rec files get corrupted after X time has passed in game? what is the max file size for a rec file on AOE2? if the game crashes, will the game grant the victory to the higher score, or the one who has the best internet connection?
