I dont plan on doing that, nor on improving big time I dont want to critisise the tournaments escapegaming is running either. Just saying that I dont like the idea of "weekend tournaments are the future of aoc" as someone (or similar than that) stated earlier and that i prefer other tournament-styles based on different points I´ve explained.Ansbald just sign up for other tournaments if you want to play vs top players. There are plenty of opportunities for this. Everybody knows that, in any activity, just watching other people practice won't improve your skills. You mainly need your own practice, reflect on your weaknesses, and perhaps some guidance by a superior player (a true expert, not just someone that is a bit better than you). And, of course, time and the willingness to improve (which many people simply lack, and there is nothing bad about this).
I never thought an intelligent poster such as yourself would stoop to dismissing opposing views as "crying" and complaining

They will do whatever gives them the most views/revenue, which is perfectly legitimate in my opinion.
gtfo manSince I've decided for myself a couple of weeks ago that I don't want to have anything to do with AoC anymore [...]
At the end of the day all this might not even matter since without ZeroEmpires and Taff I don't think much can be achieved for AoC anyway...

#1 traitor to AoC
Maybe we got our lines crossed, we'll write it off as a misunderstanding.
I'll make one final point; you rightly point out that Voobly was a de-facto community steward. You also rightly point out that a lot of volunteers received stick for doing their duties, to the extent that such stewardship has been disincentivised. If indeed this is the case, it is likely that Escape Gaming will come to occupy something of a vacuum that Voobly used to fill, especially since it now has all of the biggest streamers under its banner. In that case, Escape Gaming's choice of tournaments will have an impact on the competitive scene in five to ten years time, and it is in their own economic interests (as well as the community's interests) that it be a sustainable model. How they take things from here is up to them.
Its ironic you wrote what you just wrote. Watch the first round. This is definitely not Tyrant Warz quarter finals part II.
