After 2 and a half years I am excited to announce that Regicide Rumble is back! It took two years for Definitive Edition to receive spec chat so it is time to bring this event back into the fold. With money on the line players will have to decide if they are more loyal to their allies, the money, or the glory! This three day event will unfold over February 25th-27th with a prizepool of $5,000 sponsored by Microsoft, and streamed by T90Official using a special version of "CaptureAge" designed specifically for these settings.
Format & Settings
Every game of RR4 is played on a different map that is well suited for the settings. Maps will not be released until after players are placed and schedule is set. The settings are Last Man Standing, Regicide & Unlocked teams. This means victory can be achieved by defeating everyone, relic victory, or wonder victory. Allied victory is strictly forbidden.
Civilizations are globally picked. The lowest 1v1 elo picks their civ first and the highest 1v1 elo picks last. In the event that a competitor has less than 10 ranked 1v1s their order is decided by moderator discretion. It is important to note that unlike in previous Regicide Rumbles, players will not start with a castle due to DE's "Regicide Mode" which will ensure greater balance of civilizations.
My moderators will handle selecting the host, server, and ensuring lobby settings are correct. However here is a screenshot of the lobby settings.
Regicide Rumble 4 will have three separate days with three games per day.
Community Day (February 25th)
Community Day will be comprised of three games and include four "rigged" players and four chosen from the community game system. The rigged players are chosen by myself based on their loyalty and reputations throughout community game history, and also to simplify the process of setting up the games. Having pre-established legends combined with new faces will create a juicy dynamic for each game. Anyone below the rating of 2k 1v1s is allowed to try their luck at entering the other games, and the players will be drawn from my discord channel. You enter simply by reacting to a bot within the community games channel, something I will explain before each game.
High Level Weekend (February 26th/27th)
The High Level Weekend will be comprised of three games each day including the highest 48 sign ups. Players will be selected based on the sign up thread and placed based on 1v1 rating, player availability, and player reputation. My team will work to balance the games to make them as entertaining and as fair as possible, with a cap of 2 teammates per game. This may not be achievable but we will try our best.
Prizepool
There is a $25 bounty for each king killed throughout the event for a possible payout of $175 per game. There are also payouts for placing in the top 3.

Event Schedule
Three games are played each day of Regicide Rumble 4. If all goes as planned the games will start around the following times.
Game 1 - 16GMT/11amEST
Game 2 - 18:30GMT/1:30EST
Game 3 - 21GMT/4pmEST
Due to the nature of the settings it is very likely games may end early or late, so I kindly ask that participating players keep an eye on the action so we can keep things moving as efficiently as possible.
Streaming & Broadcasting
RR4 is open streaming, I just ask that you embrace the settings & give proper thanks to Microsoft & the host.
POV Streaming is allowed under the following circumstances.
-Players must have text to speech alerts removed
-Players must have stream chat off during gameplay
-Players must put 2 minute stream delay within OBS
Any player who fails to do this will be docked 100% of their prizepool. I know these rules are annoying but it's important there are no spoilers and I'm taking a "better safe than sorry" attitude on this. Appreciate the participants working with me on this.

Players must join the The Regicide Rumble Discord. When you are there you will be assigned a role that will give you access to the room you'll need for setting up your game & discussing with admins. Players may also be asked to join the voice channel post match, so please be prepared for a possible interview after the game.
