But Viper also played in the late afternoon / early evening while Mr. Yo played in the middle of the night ...something like 3 am. Keep that in mind as well.
I actually think Mr. Yo was at a bigger disadvantage. The fact that he pulled off what he did in the middle of the night after also having played Lieerey prior to that in what seemed like a tougher series than what Viper faced in his semi is nothing short of amazing.
Yo playing in 1st or 2nd semi wouldn't change anything about the time of the final though so he would have that disadvantage anyway.
My point was more about the schedule in general, no matter what time it is for the players the winner of the 1st will always have a big advantage in my opinion. I remember Viper mentioning this very problem in the interview after HC2 as well.
Recs until the final like HC3 could be a solution, the one who's games are streamed first would still have a bit of an advantage for preparation time but at least not with fatigue. That could even be solved by giving the recs of the semis to both finalists in the morning for example, if we want to give them equal time to analyze/prepare.
With live games the only solution would be having a longer break. As mentioned a show match could be suitable to fill in, stream would still lose a bit of viewership potentially but then again it also provides more content and potentially better finals. I personally would like to see a match for 3rd place actually, but players might not want to play right after a big loss what would be understandable.
Just to make clear i didn't mean that it was the reason for Vipers loss but i think it clearly showed that he didn't have much time between sets. I don't believe he would've played and drafted like that if he had more time to rest/prepare. Maybe it would've still been 4-0, maybe just 4-2 or even a win for Viper who knows but i think it should be taken into account for all future events.
