Wasn't entirely clear to me which matches will be held on which day, but I think I've pieced together the schedule:

Saturday 16 Jan, 13 GMT: eight group matches (BO3)
Sunday 17 Jan, 13 GMT: four matches between the winners (BO3), four matches between the losers (BO3)

Friday 22 Jan, 15 GMT: four decider matches between players with 1 win 1 loss (BO5)
Saturday 23 Jan, 15 GMT: four quarterfinals (BO5)
Sunday 24 Jan, 15 GMT: two semi-finals (BO5) and one grand finals (BO7)

No, they will be randomly drawn as a winner vs a different runner up.

This is to prevent a player from potentially deliberately coming 2nd place to get an easier match up if there is an upset in their corresponding group.

No, they will be randomly drawn as a winner vs a different runner up.

This is to prevent a player from potentially deliberately coming 2nd place to get an easier match up if there is an upset in their corresponding group.

I like the approach considering that the brackets are semi-random anyway and no seeding could be screwed up by this.

Will they be drawn live on stream after the group stage decider matches?
I fear that some trolls will see the next conspiracy here if Viper and Liereyy do not match up in the Quarterfinals for some weird reason although one of them only reached the second place in his group - the likelihood of this happening randomly is only at 67%(!), which gets even lower when you consider that Nicov again has to meet TaToH, which already happened once in a tournament in 1987!
Jokes aside, I think it would be a cool feature and create even more hype.

Yes, top 4 from rbw3 were split up, then the other 4 invites, then 2 random qualifiers.

Drawing on stream could be pretty cool and interesting. Shouldn't be too hard to get done digitally and certainly easy if you let t90 pick papers out of a hat.

On an unrelated note, I think this should be absolutely a thing for Hidden Cup, have some show matches a couple days before (like we had last time), and do a UEFA-style drawing of the bracket. Can put all speculation to rest.

They are using Capture Age for whatever reason, even though over past few weeks it was commonly rejected by most casters for being buggy, having sound issues, looking super weird..
yeah it's not the greatest and I really hope they switch back to either original DE overlay or the old "CA overlay"

The colors are burning my eyes and is so grainy. Don't know why they are trying to use an observer instead of letting one the casters control the camera. Personally I hate the click and drag movement, but that might just be me.

Sorry for sounding bitter, but it's legit hard for me to look at the stream without getting a headache.

Its the same circus every big tournament: Quality sucks, "observer" caster and caster delay. And when i look in other channels all is fine, but i dont speak their language. How do "official" stream consistently miss the mark when individual streamers have it all worked out?

this CA like clearly has some issues with stuttering, even shadows(lower shadow res, bigger transparency?), which contributes to the entire visual side of the stream feeling uncanny

Coz I saw Spaden complaining about the colour. For me it gets muddier with lower resolution.
