Tickets and Attendance​

The venue will be open on the final weekend of the event, Saturday the 29th of October, during the semifinals of Age of Empires II and the grand finals of Age of Empires I and II, as well as Sunday the 30th of October, during the semifinals and grand final of Age of Empires IV.

Tickets for Red Bull Wololo: Legacy will become available at 16.00 GMT today.

You'll have the option of buying a one-day ticket or a two-day ticket. With a ticket, the venue will be open from around noon and until the end of the show that day.

Ticket sales will be announced on the Red Bull Gaming Twitter profile here, along with a link to where you may purchase your ticket:

They were unavailable before they tweeted, the event was sold out in 1 or 2 minutes

Considering how many people had interest they should have had at least 500 tickets.

I know so many people even US citizens who were thinking to come.

I think I would have had a higher chance to qualify for the event as a player and I'm 1200.

I get having the tournament in a castle if there is no fans. You get a a nice setting for online viewership. However, a LAN tournament in EU with fans should be held in a small stadium so that a few thousand people can attend. I for one would have journeyed from Canada to attend. Oh well. Maybe next time. Hope everyone that got tickets has fun.

Also why were the tickets so cheap? I expected them to be at least 50 Euros.

Yeah hopefully future LANs can be hosted at more suitable locations for a sizable viewing audience.

I did not expect 50, but more than it was. In Germany tickets to a museum, zoo, or some kind of exhibition are more expensive for a child.

While the price wad not bad, I guess there is just not that much space to fit hundreds of people.

But there are some days without AoE 2 games, so maybe someone still wants to do an I official meeting.

If you have only few tickets you kinda have to make it exlusive from a Business pov.

We live in the aerea. 9€ is the entrance fee to get into the patio.
Every ticket to the “Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele” (local open-air theatre festival at the castle) is more expensive.
For the possible very limited tickets available the price was extremely cheap.

LoL, the Admin you refer to is not an event manager, they Admin the tournament games. Not organise the catering, toilets, accommodation and flights, never mind tickets for fans to attend. But thanks for the laugh.

In other news I guessed this would sell out quick, but it seems it was badly planned, the timing of the annoucement of ticket sales and the price too.

so why is the tournament admin the one disseminating all information regarding tickets if he has nothing to do with it? Seems terribly organized regardless of the details... which shouldn't be surprising considering the abject disaster that was the previous RBW event

was there a rbw event that I am not aware of? when did this even you're talking about take place?

I think with proper promotion and time to plan, an Aoe2 LAN could get 2k people in attendance. We have a small but very established fan base that is mostly older, which means more disposable income. All of which is to say, there's a happy middle between 50 seats in a castle and a 40k stadium.

If the demand of the tickets for AoE2 event is so big, maybe organize LAN-tournament and fund it at least partly by ticket sales. Shouldn't be impossible in some European country.

there is definitely alot more potential and Single elimation, extremely low tickets are disappointing.
