I really would hope a 2-0 for Daut that would make GML even more interesting. Bad play from Daut in Baltic though. Gl was a bit more interesting but short game too.

Anyway noone can be the best for always. Its a nice thing that the games with which Viper is officialy the winner of GML were vs Daut, its like him giving the baton to Viper, a new aoc era starting from today
(actually Riut had the baton after winning bcc3 but w/e). Looking forward for bcc4 too

I wouldnt be so sure about Riut. Not many months ago he was 1-2 vs Viper ara hun wars and he obviously play less.

I saw that too but it isnt really like that if you talk about the first fight. Viper had 6 archers, Daut had 7 but Viper had pierce armor researched so result is kinda equal there.

I think this is somehow true. I mean, Daut best shape till now is lower than Viper's shape right now, so even with good training he wouldnt be able to beat Viper at least he was lucky. If Daut wants to reach Viper level's or over it he would do some kind of mad training like he did for BCC2 to reach some kind of new level standard.
On the other hand, i think Viper (specially), jordan and Riut are naturally more gifted than Daut or Chris or anyone. Daut is damn smart and that is the main reason he had always being so dominant and he got great macro skills, but his micro skills had never being wow, and that is something very hard to change, it is more about natural talent.
Remains me of Zidane in soccer, i mean Zidane was wonderful, but he a was slow runner. Imagine if someguy could do what Zidane do but also being fast, he would be viper.

if "gifted" is how fast you can click, micro your army, manage your eco etc... then yes the new players are more gifted. These guys play an almost perfect game.

They also all learned the basics of the game, good decision making and so on, very fast. They're gifted in that sense as well.

dude did u watch game against Chris.1-1 and that Yuca game was amazing and Chris lost because of his walling skills 14++. early castle viper was struggling.
Chris and Dogao only got 1 game from Viper..think about if Chris is in full shape..he still did a fantastic job.
Anyways Congrates Viper,.you deserve the title..

The thing about Chris is he rarely loses easily (besides to a sneak vil in yukatan :lol: ). Even top Viper gets dragged into hour long wars in order to win (and sometimes looses, too) vs Chris. And this is with all the million mistakes that Chris makes! Imagine if he trained hard and fixed all those little errors in macro game... To me, that's the definition of 'natural talent' 11 ~ being able to not only survive, but also win, against Viper (and Jordan) while making a million mistakes along the way. Crazy.
Daut, on the other hand, seems to either get off to a good start and then is really strong and tough to beat, or just gets manhandled early and is totally gg midway through castle. If you let Daut get settled, with a solid eco and some map control, good luck to you. But if you can hit him early in micro wars (like Viper so painfully showed these two games), then Daut has a lot of trouble.
Personally, I really like Chris' style. Fast, aggressive, killer micro that may or may not make up for errors in macro.
I agree that Viper may be the top BO21 AoC player of all time, and congrats to him for winning this tournament filled with legends.

what the helll you are talking about, chris outplayed viper in every single match unlucky he lost one game bcus of he was rusty for long games, i respect ur point of view but every single year you say it for some one new that he is in best shape ever and no one is close to him you have said for chirs for daut for riut,jordan for viper.... look the damn games daut looks like me playing vs viper a total rookie trying to win somehow wihout any understanding of this game viper is good but IMo he need some more experience bu what can you know you have been rusty all ur aoc life.

the not so " experienced " Viper just stepped on everyone's balls..imagine if he was experienced.
btw if someone was a daut fan like me ( still am and add to that viper now) ...its hard not to be a viper fan ...his play and dominance is a better version of dauts back in 2003-2005 era .

damn alcohol has end tonight, my point was that viper is really good but watching his last games and after playing chris all i can say is that even the second best player in aoc history can win him, playing so much better putting pressure to win him, viper has and advantage youth and time wich is very importan for this game, his micro must be the best for now, but jordan macro is superior, chris knowledge is by far better, even i dare to say Tim is much better in macro,i have no doubt he will become the best, but not yet, and for daut well he left so much to say i think is better to remember him for all his achievements.
