We already know a DLC is likely coming to AoE2 next year from the roadmap. Almost undoubtedly will have similar for AoE4, but may not be announced today.
I'm guessing that given that seemingly total random inclusion of AoE1 in RBW:Legacy (and not AoE3) that we will see something for AoE1

Black AdderI wrote this before I knew about the Xbox announcement (practically it was announced already), which imo is big enough (especially for them) to be the major thing to the extent of not as much else added (and looking how they operate), but these were my random guesses:
Heavy focus on AoEIV still, it's the main child and they are doing a rerelease with first new-civs DLC, I expect campaign DLC announcement (which isn't a secret since FE announced they're working on AoEIV - btw the open positions that were rumoured for AoMDE before seem to have turned out to be for this it looks like).
AoEIIDE and AoEIIIDE further DLCs, also practically announced already/no reason not to, we'll see if already cosmetics/campaign DLCs for both.
AoEI is strangely and completely ignored in all the announcements, and it seems weird to me they would ignore it that much, so maybe something bigger (for it) like new civ DLC, and possibly even free-to-play (at least multiplayer) - they've been testing things in general, and you have the free civs in AoEIV (unless that's still one-off copium to save the game, because from the wording it's not clear if it's truly free, or only for current owners, and otherwise it will be paid, somewhat like the USA civ was free under certain conditions in AoEIII), and Stormgate might be pushing their hand (and maybe with the cosmetics it might be more viable for them if sales have dropped enough - though imo II is selling well enough still, hence why it would maybe make sense as some testing ground).
AoM should get something, they would be hard-pressed to ignore the elephant in the room (anniversary), they have been tagging and finally even including in some pictures fairly regularly (though really, really late-notice if you think about it, so it might be just reaction to the incessant social media posts by people and realising "crap, we need to do something," because there legit hasn't been anything going on towards AoM at all, straight ignorance long-term), so something will be there - now what is it going to be and its "intensity" is anybody's guess - I do not expect anything big, they simply do not focus the game at all (quite the opposite), I still hold it's too early in AoEIV life cycle and they want to work with that still, so at max some announcement of future things, which could be as vague as what they've done, "someday somehow maybe, we haven't forgotten," etc. or actual commitment - I think AoM 2 would make sense with AoEIV engine in place and the game being similar to AoM in gameplay, DE is free money - I do not want current devs working with the franchise, the experience is clear what we've got, but at the same time who cares about me, and they would be stupid not to do it, it's free dozens of millions for no effort (people will buy it again with whatever quality).
MoF, FE dev with AoM focus, is apparently in Heidelberg, so that's already interesting if it's not just randomly personal (which maybe he would say earlier than randomly a few days go "oh, btw I'll be there, let's meet up," people on those occasions want to see with others from the community if they're there quite a bit ahead (and what I've seen from other communities, including AoM parts), but what do I know, I'm not him, could be perfectly fine and normal visit :-)), and the Sunday announced showmatch is suspect, however, again, I doubt we would be anywhere near release of anything, so with that my guess is more AoEIII, because that has been asked to be involved in that way, and maybe it could be new civs showcase. Or AoEI new civs. Or even AoEII. The Sunday might just be coincidence. Unless some people are straight lying and pretending, it does not seem anyone in the community really knows anything, and that goes even for people who you would expect to be involved, so either there's really nothing, or some very early stages so only devs know. (And no, Mista and Magic won't be playing that showmatch, they are there for AoEIV tournament, they might reach the final day, and they don't want to be distracted by stupid random showmatch, leave that hopium home.) There have been no signs whatsoever of anything at all.
There probably will be all kinds of dev talks, they already are releasing random shorts with that, so maybe AoM involvement is just that, same as AoEI, or there's something for EE like new civ? Some rework? Patch? Adopting the Aztecs as DLC same as with Forgotten? I don't know, seems highly unlikely to put effort into that - but it would be cheaper variant to DE (however DE shouldn't be hard, they have engine ready from AoEIIIDE, so they just need to do graphics, and some details like GPs) and something.
My further guess is there will a new game announcement, and/or mobile game - they have been hiring Chinese producer, they are focusing Chinese audience and making sure everyone knows, so there's something towards that for sure. Previous ones have been successful afaik somewhat, so why not in today's market (AoM mobile game would be funny twist :d).
Of course all kinds of roadplans to be expected, some tournament announcements maybe, the standards.
As always, they do not really make sense in their treatment of the franchise and how they work with it, so anything can happen (great backalley way to handle things for me, right? :-)) and I'm free to be completely wrong. But I do hold AoEIV to be main focus, and doubt they'll want to dilute that yet (too much, new game would already be big). And maybe they truly are focusing what they're showing, so therefore only IV, II, III, and nothing else/more is really coming, which would be kind of incredible towards I and M, but well within the normal, standard workings of theirs; one has to hope there's at least something in there. Who knows, let's learn today - since amongst the listed streams is also Red Bull channel, there will be a segment from Heidelberg? (seems otherwise kind of random, some crossover is logical with the tournament) with players and casters from there for talks, and, well, lends further credence to MoF being there, however I haven't noticed any other devs being on the spot from AoE pictures, so would that be towards Sunday? Or will the dev meeting be there? It is, after all, in Europe, and FE are European a lot - otherwise the show should be apparently from MS studios, so I don't know, maybe reading into it too much, but that's why we're speculating out of thin air :-))

So based on the Xbox thing, I would venture the new game is out the window, this fills that, mobile could still happen because why the hell not, it would not be them developing it and the Chinese connection needs a reason, anything else bigger though is becoming unlikely, like AoM new game/remaster (really max some far announcement would think if even), the Sunday showmatch will probably/might be AoEIIDE on Xbox by the guys there finishing day earlier since it seems it might be releasing now already. DLCs I guess sure, free-to-play multiplayer probably not (but in the end why not).

TiMi studios(owned by Tencent) has made namely made Honor of Kings, Call of Duty Mobile and Pokémon Unite, Speed Drifters and Arena of Valor all with MTX fest. Annoucement is global release of looking at name, trailer graphics and official site banner
AoE:Mobile was most downloaded and top 10 highest-grossing game on iOS in the first 24 hours since its launch in China.

and now comes the part where we have to make daily sacrifices to the AoM dieties to hope that aoe2 doesn't add autoconvert with monks because it's impossible to perform the command with a xbox controller
That's what I thought too, but was a bit strange to see only Xbox and World's Edge were listed as studios, and not Tencent.
This to me better be more a standalone thing then a dlc. Allowing aoe players to enjoy their game on a better engine
There are definitely many questions about this, since the units and tech trees of the games are very different, so either they have to completely restructure the AoE I civs or they cannot be played in games together with the AoE 2 civs.
The "AoE 1 on AoE 2 engine" several people have mentioned makes the most sense. Maybe a shortcut in the AoE 2 menu to go to a Return of Rome subsection where you can play single player/scenarios/campaigns/multi player with AoE I content and balance.
Also, I know we have temporal and spatial distances between AoE 2 civs already (500 years or so), but with AoE I civs, we could have more than 1000 years between 2 civs, which even stranger.
Works for me. I've always wanted them to remaster AOE1 in AOE2. I personally have always prefferred ancient times over medieval and had hoped that AOE4 would've been a new version of AOE1.
I'd be mildly interested to try AoE1 civs vs AoE2 civs but it would kinda ruin immersion a bit. Not that AoE2 is super immersive...but then it would be even less lol.
In any case I was kinda hoping for some more medieval civs in AoE2 not AoE1 in AoE2. But it is what it is.
HelloWorldIt will just be two games. You can play aoe1 inside aoe2, that's it. No cross play.

i don't think they play that as everyone already knows aoe1 and aoe1 finals are 29th so would be unnecessary repeat. AOM retold seems too early to be played . AoE mobile probably not going to hype people espicially if it is same as Chinese AoE mobile
Some people guessed they will play AoE3 since it not part of tournament and RB did ask to contact them if they can do something when aoe3 fans were dissapointed
