What?
The Open Elo Cups are community tournaments for players to participate in, according to their elo. Today's announcement opens the sign-ups for the second division.
To make things more interesting, the finalists of the first division, which had an elo cap of 1150, get a direct invite to the second division, where they will continue their journey towards becoming the best players they can be. This means they'll be facing players much higher elo than what they were upon signing up for the first division. Talk about dramatic improvements!
For whom?
The second division is open to anyone between 1150 and 1450 elo at the time of sign-up, with a max all time high elo no higher than 1475. They will also be required to have at least 100 ranked 1v1 games, have an account that is active since before this announcement, and be no smurfs.
There is a limit of 32 players. If there are more than 32 sign-ups, a small qualifier round will be required from the players.
When?
This division will be played during October and November. There is more detailed information in the "Timeframe" section down below.

Prizepool
We have a total prizepool of $150 for this event, as well as one coaching session with a high level player for each finalist.
The prize distribution will be as follows:
1st: 50% + 1 coaching sessions
2nd: 30% + 1 coaching sessions
3rd: 10%
4th: 10%
Timeframe
If more than 32 people sign up there will be a qualifier round. Given the potential time zone differences between players all players signing up are expected to be fully available to play potential qualifier matches the first Saturday and Sunday of October.
Qualifiers: October 2nd-3rd
Round of 32: October 4th-16th
Round of 16; October 17th-30th
Round of 8: October 31st - November 6th
Semifinals: November 6th-13th
Grand Final: November 14th
Rules and Settings
Full rules and settings will be provided shortly in the discord server, as well as more details about qualifier map pools and main event map pools. Maps will most likely be built into the game, and feature a mixture of open/closed maps and land/hybrid/water maps.
If you'd like to increase the prizepool for this event, talk to me privately.
If you'd like to recommend a player or propose yourself as a coach and you're an expert player, talk to me privately.
The tournament is meant to be fun to play for players. I will be checking back and will be taking feedback into account in case settings need to be changed, or I haven't taken something into consideration.
Streaming
The tournament is completely open streaming, but to keep it more organized we're requiring a few things:
Players do not stream their POV before the time the matches will be cast on stream. If you're a streamer, you can record your POV and then play that back at the time of the official cast.
If you're a caster, recorded games and schedules for when they will be covered will be posted in my Discord.
Include who is hosting the tournament in your stream title. A command with relevant information and a link to my channel is also required. You may use the tournament banner during your streams if you wish.
Enjoy!
