Only since aoc days but tbf the concept of Koreans back then was a bad joke. A really bad joke. How can you go all-in on a tower rush civ. Like added last second to attract Korean players but I mean the concept is the opposite of attractive. Now after two major redesigns, Koreans feel like a proper civ that can compete with other civs having a triple identity of archery, towers and weird inventions as it makes sense and also their bad techtree is compensated now and comparable with other archer civs without insane eco like Ethiopians.Best things about the patch:
Building walls is so much easier now. The game makes better shapes than I would think of. Massive massive massive improvement here. I also like the removal of armor for foundations. "Quick" walls don't make sense in any game. The extra second for each section is a good balance. It helps make feudal play a possibility or makes it a reasonable investment to expend vil time in walling earlier. I love all the wall changes. Also the defense vs obsidian arrows.
The buffs/nerfs seem to be going in the right direction. I'm interested to see the Khmer farming tested now. How good/bad have their farms become? Not sure about some, and I agree it's odd to see how far Koreans have come since AoK or AoC days.
Dislikes:
Lag. Even when I finally get a better computer soon, I don't think 4v4s or Battle Royale will become viable.
UI. It takes more clicks to get to do the same things. Mods and replays are more difficult to find for those that aren't trying that hard. The civ menu that pops up when picking civs looks better, but it takes more clicks to select your civ, and there's a slight delay loading/closing the menu.
It remains to be seen, whether having free armour directly at start of feudal while opponents not even having fletching isn't too snowbally.
