I know, but thinking as a business wouldnt it make much more sense to give more sponsored events to your brand new game which was probably pretty expensive to make? Whether it will be worth it or not the time will tell I guess.

game is bad, and we, or the most i think, are angry with nili. he made the call. he betrayed aoe2. for a game that is not even 10% as good as aoe2.

I think this is way too harsh. It was a terrible decision for his own channel, but funding big aoe4 is probably a must from a franchise perspective, so i think Nili did nothing wrong regarding his MS job

Nah. Nili was doing all that before the MS job and nobody complained, and just as Dogao said, it is only logical that aoe4 needs big tournaments and this was NAC time (which i assume would've had a 100k prizepool anyways).

This was a bad call for Nili as a host since NAC4 would have been far most succeful without any dobut, but nothing else.

Most of your post is just anger to the guy, which i don't really understand (and im also not interested to know).

Most of that is practically not avoidable long term when he has the positions he has and Microsoft knew that he'd have these positions all along. Why the **** would he leave a post that he was given by a company for reasons that the company knew already when they hired him? Also, none of these things were unreasonable at all from a neutral standpoint.

You're aware that this isn't tax money distributed for the wealth of the world, right? It's private money from Microsoft used to do PR. They have no reason to distribute that money fairly and with high moral standards. For example, it's absolutely in MS' interest to invite Viper to that tournament because he attracts viewers. That's not Nili helping a friend, that's Nili doing his job.

People all over the world just give jobs to their friends and relatives. People work with people they know. Buisness is about connections and about some random powerful people judging who's worth an investment. Why the hell do you think that private money must be distributed fairly and neutral? Don't get me wrong, that would be awesome, but someone who has basically a PR-job in a private company doesn't seem to be the guy you should address with that issue.

He outsmarts most of us and can foresee data that we don't have access to or didn't expect. Therefore I don't buy that he would make a mistake that most of the people in this community wouldn't.

When you have an exaggerated emotional investment with aoe2, as some do, neutrality goes out the window pretty fast. From that position small and inconsequential things turn into big things, and big things turn into colossal dramas.

I am kinda surprised the viewership is this low. I was expecting 10-15k for the group days and then 20-30k for the playoffs. I guess we will see what the weekend brings, but this is really not looking good. Part of it might be that there aren't really any "personalities" in aoe4 that have a huge following (AFAIK). For example, MarineLord only has 35k followers on twitch and 6k subs on YouTube. You need people like Viper and T90 to really bring in the huge numbers.
