Since viper is problably out i dont have anything to watch.

He is still in according to Liqupedia, he can beat Vortix and Lucifron and boom top 6. But it is true things are not going well for him, also for Nili, Viper is a magnet for viewers, you are probably not the only one who will give up after him.

There are still 2 more days, so he can get to a 2-3 in sets which absolutely can be enough to get to the Playoffs, f.e if 2 players finish with 1-4 sets.

I think his buchholz should be terrible. Like even when he goes 2-3 he should have the worst possible buchholz of all 2-3s

I think that is only true, if you have a 5 round GSL-kinda type swiss of 8 players with 4 players advancing; in that case it is three wins and you advance (without playing further) or three losses and you are out (without playing further)

His second biig problem is his Buchholz, as he lost against the players who are currently ranked 5 to 7.

To safe face, Nili has to step down immediately from his MS tournament coordinator position after the conclusion of N4C. The viewer numbers are a trainwreck.

I think this is way too harsh. It was a terrible decision for his own channel, but funding big aoe4 is probably a must from a franchise perspective, so i think Nili did nothing wrong regarding his MS job

I think they can. Any good RTS players can do it. Especially if they do it full-time. Viper came to AoE2 in mid and he didn't have enough practice I guess.

Swiss system works against that: For example, round 4 pairings will be
Match 1: Viper against the looser of Vortix/Leenock (because he already played against all the others on 1 point) and
Match 2: Lucifron against the looser of TheMista/DeMuslim
The second match will produce a player with two points and in most scenarios the loosers of both matches will play against each other to produce another player with two points (only unless they have already played before which is true for the pairings Lucifron-Vortix and Leenock-TheMista)

Well For the people who says: It is that you have not tried enough Age4, sorry I have played the game since Beta, I gave up in the middle of december or maybe beginning of january, and it is because the game doesnt feel even unique, it is fun to play one game every three days and it is horrible to watch, this game tried to be everything in the RTS world and is nothing, you have features from SC, AoM, AoE3, AoE2 and at the end the game is not that fluid, like I said in another post, this game is the biggest flop in the RTS world in two decades, every RTS community was expecting it, and you can see that the playerbase and viewers numbers going nowhere, if you enjoy the game just play it and have fun for those $60, but dont try to sell an unicorn when it is not even a pony. Btw the production is top notch at least, thanks to that I could keep watching 10 minutes of N4C on saturday.

Easily disagree because with WC3 Reforged there was already a way bigger Flop recently.
Not sure if it can be called a flop at all, a success not aswell, proly just smth between it like aoe3.
It's just getting judged way heavier because there were those high expectations and ofc. the success and rise/growth of aoe2 in the last years.

it would be much easier to ignore, if it wouldn't eat up much of the aoe2 tournament money, because some "neutral" tournament coordinator with a big conflict of interest takes a big part of the money to finance his own tournament in the game (he personally enjoys more right now) while doing some disrespecful statements at the same time on our beloved game, which btw. made him known in the first place.

I know, but thinking as a business wouldnt it make much more sense to give more sponsored events to your brand new game which was probably pretty expensive to make? Whether it will be worth it or not the time will tell I guess.
