The german game makes it even better you can get cavalier in the knight age just as intended.

You know what other civ can research cavalier in Castle Age?

When we did the showmatch with Daut + Tatoh vs Lyx + Yo, Chat went Absolute madshit on HOW OP THIS IS, yeah lack bloodlines but OP as freak.

And at least they don't have a Eco Bonus or 50% gold return on Knight death
and Tufans don't even get crossbow or last archer armor

They talked about a big multiplayer update on the 25th does anyone know what the chnages are other thne the new civs?

It's so nice of them to design these Burgundians like that, for all the people that missed on the lancer fun in December 2019.

+ I will finally enjoy the few campaigns where you are stuck in castle age with no real unit to make with Burgundians 11111

EDIT: burgundians don't have bloodlines confirmed (5h08 20sec to 45sec, he clicks on a cavalier and then on the stable). Potentially weak early castle? (but with the 50% gold refund I doubt it...)
And the gold refund doesn't work on cavaliers

Yeah cav in castle age is just stupid, its an enormous imperial age power spike to get cav, doesnt make sense to have it in castle age and even 60% faster then normal.
My theory is that one of the devs just designed this civ to help him win the hardest AI.

The team bonus is actually stronger then it seems aswell since monks can then survive mangonel shots without sancity, i do not mind that one though it think its pretty cool and balanced.

I think you are looking at the post of @Deathcounter witch has noting to do with the new civ other then cav in castle age. It's from some random mod.

??? I easily beat 2v1 Hardest AI - what are you talking about. This civ is balanced. Burgundians however have eco bonus and gold return on knights, busted

It so funny that the DE devs come to Realms mod and basically copy civ bonuses 1:1, its not just Burgundians Castle Age Cavalier, its pretty much everything.

The similarities are remarkable. Sad to see that they can't come up with their own civ bonuses and steal without giving credit or asking.

I am sure we can all agree that content creator, whether modders or RMS Scripters would love to see their creations in the official game, but at least credit them wtf.

There is no shame in that, not doing so is just shady and sad

I am not sure whether or not this is true since I would have to look at Realms mod but it certainly would not surprise me. From everything I have seen honesty is not something you could really characterize as one of their strong suits.

So I thought that too, but it appears that the person in charge of maps at FE, The_Prophet, also happens to be the original map scripter for most, if not all, of the maps that are copied 100% from maps that have been around a long time and introduced into the game under a different name (Cross - 4 Lakes, Seize the Hump - Seize the Mountain, Atacama, Bedouins too maybe?). So it's not as bad as I thought.

However it's still a grey area for maps that were not designed by The_Prophet. In this case it feels like they built off existing maps, taking the concept but with their own take on it (Cup by Henkdesupernerd - Golden Swamp, and now probably Cape of Storms by YoungPanda - Coastal Forest). While the gameplay might be a bit different it would be good practice if they could credit the original scripters for those.

Seize the Hump was undoubtedly created by The_Prophet.
Atacama is most likely created by The_Prophet too.

If the Burgundians don't have bloodlines, I don't think it will be that OP that they get cavalier in castle age. If I'm not mistaken cavalier only gives you +20 HP and + 2 attack. Without bloodlines, the only advantage you have over other generic civs is that + 2 attack. Yeah that is pretty good, but you have to get a relatively expensive tech in castle age. The fact that they can research it 60% faster might be too much, though. Anyway, I think it is comparable with the Lithuanian bonus (which arguably is a tiny bit OP as well tbf).

Cavalier is only 300f/300g, which I don't think is that expensive when you consider Ballistics (an essential Castle Age tech for any archer civ) is 300w/175g. If you look only at Castle Age, you can view part of it as researching Bloodlines (150f/100g), so you are effectively paying 150f/200g for that +2 attack.

No offense to Mr. Beck but he looks like the kind of guy that has absolutely no problem with pay to win and has never played even one multiplayer game.
This whole interview is so typical 20xx cringe. They even ask questions from the chat but not one minute about all the problems. Just smiling the whole time talking and praising the 'create' ideas in this dlc.

If they move when they hear about intrests - to develop a DLC why don't they move to fix all the problems and issues that people have?
I think I read here and there that alot of people are intrested in playing multiplayer in normal condition (im not talking about perfect conditions). Things like being able to play all maps in TGs - there are so many maps bugging out before the game starts or lagging so hard later that you cant play them.
There so so much more but i shouldnt start with...it just makes me mad. Need a shower to remove all my salt.

Cavalier in castle age is even bigger of a problem in team game, because it means you can essentially research Paladin right away when you hit the imperial age. You save 100 seconds of research time, and the lack of bloodlines does not really matter if you have the +4 defense available (which they most likely get, being a cav civ and all that). You get paladin faster than even Franks with Chivalry (who need to invest into a Castle and the tech).

(That being said I guess paladin is for losers when you have an UU that deals 55 damage)
