I don't know the AoE I top players, but the plan for that game looks good. No need to fly 8-16 players which potentially all are from Southeast Asia to Germany, but rather have most of it in Vietnam, where players probably also can meet most of their fans. And then the final in Heidelberg still adds some value.

I'm interested to see what the qualification criteria was for invitee's. Leenock hasn't won an S-tier AoE4 event, and didn't make it to the final 8 of Golden League.

I guess Viper will play AOE4 because of the money. He can win AOE4 and there is a lot more money (dunno why).
But I am happy with AOE1 and AOE 2.

Good point! That's most likely the reason.
There is no doubt that if you play for a living and have a chance to win a bigger prize you choose the game with the bigger prizepool.

Wonder what the business proposition/customer lifetime value is of the average AOE1 viewer vis AOE 2 DE based on the different consumer profiles.

Chrazini already mentioned you can qualify in multiple games, so my guess is the events are at least separated to such a degree that no sets from different games overlap.
