At this point, I really just hope it isn't some weird mix where players have to play everything. If that's the case, it will be extremely uncompetitive and also ruin the viewer experience. I probably won't be watching in that case.

Heavily daut it, based on how Streamers have reacted so far I guess we can be almost 100% sure that aoe2 is included.
Also we know it will feature more then just aoe4 based on the Redbull "Leak" where they said it would feature different games, which is why we already knew before (the Trailer) that it would be a LAN in Heidelberg again.
Also we already saw Banners for each AoE, AoE2 and AoE4.

I just saw that Age 3 was released in 2005, wtf !!17 years and counting, MS havent been able of releasing a real good Age game in almost two decades and 3 new installments, time for beginning the development of Age 5.

Honestly, seems like the games quality in general has been going down for years. Inspite of gaming industry having more money than ever before.
Maybe that's the issue. It used to be done by nerdy dudes with incredible passion, now it's gone corporate.
Sure, graphics has always been getting better, but story/plot/narration, creativity etc going down. We'll just have to rely on modders to make the new games better lol

Yes, but it was released after AoE2.
So out of 5 Age Games you have 2 of them being rly good, 1 being super popular in Vietnam and "only" 2 games being way less popular (although I would say AoE3 is great, if you only want to play casually singleplayer/campaign).

But AoM fits moreso with aoe2 timeframe.

Actually yeah, aoe3 campaigns are pretty good. Especially the OG campaigns of British and USA.
I'd say aoe2 and aoe3 campaigns are comparable, enjoyability vise, with aoe2 being a bit better.

I noticed something interesting in the trailer. First we see F1 bolid, then it changes to cobra car that indicates there is going to be an AOE2 event. I believe there should be another transition with cobra car turning into Lada to represent Aoe4.

Curious as well, for now the confirmed ones i will argue that are the most popular players for each game, but i expect more to come out next minutes / hours.
