First, Congrats to "Mexico A" for winning the game , and appreciate the organizer for the effort organizing the tournament.
But as a Taiwanese fan , I feel really sad for the dispute which happened in game 1.
Here's the thing. The game1 between Taiwan A and Mexico A prograssed smoothly until about 32 mins . One of Mexico team player's computer shut down for some reason , and didn't made any save document. The refs decided to take a restart game which Taiwan A's teammate were not willing to. And it still went anyway.
We all know the Mexico team didn't drop the game on purpose , but neither the Taiwan team made it happen.
It might be a difficult situation for the Mexico team for dropping one of those player in the game , which would make them almost impossible to get the win.
But , it is not so fair that the Taiwanese team have to take the consequences of the accident , although the Mexico team is kind of unlucky for that.
Because the adventage that "Taiwan A" took in that game is quite big in that moment :
1. Large economic adventage was build due to the aggressive strategy in Fedual age by team Mexico , which is unsuccessful objectively speaking.
2. The land army of Mexico team was wiped out by Taiwan team's army , which is going to land opposite land at that time just before the dropping happened.
3. The sea fight situation is equal.
4. One player of Taiwan A was in "Imperial age", while the fastest player of opponents was about 2 minutes behind.
Right at the time , the accident happened. which means all those adventages had gone , and the strategy was known by both team.
The Mexico team did a better adjustment in the restarting game, they deserve to take that win.
But did Taiwan A deserve to take that loss ?
It is supposed to have a better solution of that situation, otherwise it might be used to cheat on games. Not to mention that is the key game of which team will make promotion.
Yep. Taiwan A is not really a strong team in the main league. The elo of the players are lower then most of the team. So they took a lot of effort in discovering better build or strategy , and did spend many time practicing it. It doesn't mean that they must win or something , actually one of the player is going to army next week , and another one just had hand injuries couple weeks ago. They don't really think it'll be any kind of achievement in that tournament. What they do is just respect the game and enjoy. You can see any player of them streams the whole game on internet in literally every single game, which is not even regularty.
Again , congrates to Mexico A for the win.
But I feel sad about that inappropriate dicision makes the event not give the same respect to "Taiwan A" as they did to the games.
Thank Taiwan A for bringing the exciting competition to us , you guys are the best!
