If we don't do it in 2022 or 2023, a lot of iconic pros who played since the early 2010's or earlier will be missing, and it will suck, because S-tier tournaments like these need the big old names

The 2017 Nation's Cup was what got me sold on the AoE2 pro scene. Some of the best sets I've ever seen. I absolutely love 4v4 tournaments. I don't think it'll happen though unfortunately.

Nowdays most clans (even expert ones) are half-arsed though, in early 10's Voobly days they used to practise almost daily, you had a lot of rivalry between clans, etc.

At present it's almost like clans only exist during big tournaments, then disappear into semi-inactivity as early as the tournament ends

Nation cup is much older than that. 2014 was the third one maybe

You really want the AoE2 pros we know and love to RETIRE before Nations Cup IV happens?

Many already planned to retire (I don't count Hera as retired yet, if NC IV happens he will surely participate if he checks-in in time Kappa)
...So time to make them play one last time in the biggest 4v4 TG tournament ever.
