The question is: do we need to care that much about the sickest viewercount? This is as planned an open up to 128 teams tournament. Its sth for the whole community to enjoy from best to worst. Thats why people want this. Its not a 16 top player event that only gets measured by viewercount.
In my opinion sling is nerfed pretty much in the last time. Why always admins try to nerf sling as much as possible. Sling is part of the game and i think 100% tax is too much already, wont talking about a idea of 200%.
This is commendable but I'd still try to get streamers involved from early stages (instead of just streaming) for these reasons:Exactly.
I'm not a streamer/content creator so I have no need to try and reach viewer/donation goals or make a return on investment.
I would simply like to make a big community event happen that lots of people can enjoy.
The prizepool itself doesn't matter a huge deal to me anyway. The event wI'll still happen if there is only $4k raised, the prize distribution would simply be adjusted to compensate.
But I'm not a huge fan of having Viper playing as Germany for example if I'm being honest.
Even in just competion viewpoint would it really be beneficial? Sure Germany would become stronger, although still propably not close to level of very top Nations, but Norway would get totally shredded leaving Mbl basically at the same situation as Daut is in Serbia.
I would be super interested in watching Jordan in a carry position for team Germany. Something we never see of him anymore, and it could be really good for him.Counting MbL/Viper as 2k7, Nili as 2k3 and JorDan as 2k4.
Second-tier players are buddy (2k), Gluttony (1k9) for Norway, and many nC zone guys at 2k for Germany (I don't count Stefan as he doesn't play with them regularly).
1) Viper-Jordan-Nili ~2466
2) Viper-MbL-buddy ~2466
3) Jordan-Nili-Andorin ~2233
4) MbL-buddy-Gluttony ~2200
For Viper it doesn't make a huge difference. For the others it does. Obviouly JorDan is probably worth better than 2k4 and especially his synergy with Viper make the combo deadly, but Viper/MbL also were successful in the past.
I don't really get your argument why rules need to be one of the extremes neither I think "It's just a videogame" is a solid argument.I say just let everyone represent whatever country they feel the most proud to represent. No need for walls, border guards and passport checks in a damn video game. Most people will want to represent their own country anyway - whatever they feel is their own country.
At least if you want to allow these "former yugoslavia" and "former soviet union" type nations, I dont see any reason why Viper shouldnt be allowed to play for Germany as well. Granting exceptions based on historical, geographical or racial reasons, or just to allow DauT to play, turns so easily into a political minefield that it's best to just be either super relaxed or super strict about the whole thing. Super relaxed might hurt someones feelings of nationalism, but on the other hand it probably provides better games and more intense drama.
I disagree, the NC is precisely the one tournament where it's not all about the top players. You're not supposed to care much if SY or Finland wins, you're supposed to only care about how far France goes, how well they play and how many (and which) countries they beat.Pros will be able to switch and, sorry, they are the only ones who matter.
You guys are sleeping on pedroWhat are you talking about? Ando would carry of course
I would really like to see Kamigawa, pete_martell, Vodka and DarkDevil play for Italy (perhaps with Coccolino as well)You noobs are forgetting about a massive TG carrier who happens to be living in Germany Kamiface
