NAC2 LAN Finals - Survival Guide / All Info

I really liked the one on one interviews with Nili, MBL and Nicov. In particular the discussion of on screen/stream persona vs irl. The peak behind the curtain especially with MBL was exactly the type of thing that makes NAC a great idea. To see these guys all interact and get to know them a little more aside from just watching them play on stream is great.

Liereyy vs Viper semifinal and then a Mbl vs Viper final is a dream for the tournament. It would be a bit anticlimatic if Tatoh beats Mbl now. Same with Liereyy beating Viper. Viper vs Tatoh or Liereyy vs Mbl final would be one sided in my opinion.

I'm not from Norway and I prefer it as well. We just saw Lierrey vs Viper FINAL two weeks ago. MBL beat Viper in the group stages here. I think if it were a movie, MBL vs Viper would be a more exciting climax.

Yes I totally agree. I liked that Mbl seemed honestly interested in how the first days were for Nili. Also really interesting on the other more personal subjects. No smalltalk.

Great tournament Nili! and +1 to that. MbL has a reputation for some stuff in the past (even this week outpost rushing tatoh), but to me he's one of the great people in AoE2 when he has time to reflect.

Mibble appreciation thread:

* highest ratio of smiley faces to content on Twitter
* beats snek multiple times, humble in victory
* super active and dedicated, has two accounts with more games each than most obsessed players have total
* snek gets glory for their 2v2 team in the past, mibble gets pooped on, blamed for every loss, still plays hard
* leaves no enemy pig behind
* converts one monk, lets opponent convert it back
* best aoe2 player in the world according to norwegian news

..aaaand the most one sided game by far was viper vs lierey ; there's more to it than a>b and b>d , that means a>d
I only agree that viper is number 1 , when it comes to number 2, there are about 5 names now that have a say in it.
I wish people would stop invoking KOTD 2 final as an argument for the 2 best players OR for some x win with all civs vs Y with no civs, it would've been a whole different final if seedings were according to the rules

Kotd2 and NAC2 are entirely different events, but its kinda true that in retrospect its even more shame that tatoh and mbl who did so well in NAC2 were the ppl most brutally treated by the kotd2 rules messup.

All of the players seeded Liereyy #2 in NAC2 however, so they dont seem to think theres much of a dispute there.

In a theory crafting situation you can do that and ask the players to seed themselves , but don't go adopt those seedings in a single elimination, those seedings will be harder and harder to break if the cycle repeats and the higher seeds have better chances of reaching far cause they were seeded higher in the first place ..then onto the next tournament and again
It was a good tournament, could've been also a double elimination at the end, have a few more games , players were in same timezone, easy to do:

Mbl vs Tatoh and viper vs lierey in r1 ub , f1re vs daut and nicov vs jordan r1 lb (top 4 of the group go to ub, bottom 4 to lb) 10 games if quick math worked
