good to see tournaments going better direction with tournament being annoced in more reasonable time frame. 1 month to qualifiers and 2 months to main event.

Something that stands out to me as a weird choice is no TTL S2 invitee? It ends on Feb 12th, which is well before the first qualifiers.

Also, no prizes for qualifiers Only 10 players will earn a piece of a $100k prize pool, again.

I think they wanted to have the current top4 at the event no matter what, imagine Liereyy neither winning TTL nor a qualifier..

Qualifiers will get any donations received through the qualifiers weekend as per handbook.

Are we looking at potentially 6 rounds in the group stage?
That, or we'll be doing 2 groups for the group stage into potentially larger Finals, which I'd be less excited for

But in any case, I'm EXTREMELY excited for the whole event. NACs historically might've had some minor issues with their competitiveness, but they still remained my favorite of the "big three" just for their community aspect.
A lot of it came from the very varied pairings that were used as casters, with special mention for Memb + JorDan, but a good part of it has to be just the different chemistry between players that comes from a more social LAN(we didn't really get this during RBW or TGM).

I'm really, really looking forward to this event, and I really, really hope that it manages to recreate the magic of old NACs

Still, all 4 invited players are in TTL S2 already. I guess it kind of makes sense if you only wanted to invite players from DWL adjacent formats (RBWL, Warlords, TGM)

II. Qualifiers

Additional donations will be collected on Nili’s stream and will be used for qualifiers prize money. It will be split between players who got eliminated in the round of 6 (8.5%) and round of 12 (4%).

I am really hyped for NAC, hope i can make as much free time as possible to watch it all.

i see only possitive things: prizepool, open streaming, great casters, 10 players, good maps.
really looking forward to it, now i can only hope my fav player makes it through the qualifier

Glad it's open casting, nice for people like ornlu and memb (obviously they'd probably rather be there but with LANs inviting everyone isn't possible)

Pretty sick to have dash announced for this less than a week after the news be got fired from his old job. With any luck he can bring some fans with him, but if not at least we get his broadcasting talent.

Hyped for the (hypothetical) meetup, NAC3 meetup is one of my best memories.

Hope we see some of the classic NAC maps like flooded cross and seize the hump return, but either way I'm sure we'll have great settings

The pro players make their living off of this game. That is their profession. You are expected to get paid from your profession.

The community is a group of people who share a hobby. You are not entitled to get paid for practicing your hobby.

noone talks about entitlement, but top heavy prices are simply not growing the community, as it is not worth it for anyone that isnt already in the top 16 right now, to commit more time and effort into the fse.
