The only one who can be harmed by it is Mr Yo. CN government has no power over Nili, other than preventing CN players to join his tournaments.
It's very irresponsible to make jokes at the expense of another person while staying free of consequences yourself.

I've seen streamers get their entire careers terminated for showing Taiwan on stream, without even taking a stance on political views.

You sound like a Nili Hater tbh. I personally did not like that Nili got political again but so far Mr Yo hasn't gotten in any problems. And Mr Yo also handled the situation really well.

The world can be a dangerous place, provided you are a stupid person and do not know how to keep yourself out of trouble. A lot of things have to happen in combination with bad decisions for a person to lose their career. Such social interactions happen all the time, I feel like every Chinese person has to deal with such conversations in their lives daily, it's the ones who aren't smart enough to avoid such talks be the ones who get in trouble. And Mr Yo immediately deflected the topic, instead of engaging further in it.

I don't really see why you would say that Nili won't suffer any repercussions, remember TGM? Whatever's going to happen to him, will happen. And as for Mr Yo, he didn't divulge himself in that topic to the point that he will get in trouble, he knows when it is a good time to keep quiet. So let's move over it

Ok, but don't you see a difference in saying a word "Taiwan" and saying Taiwan is a country (which of course is)? You know the word Taiwan exist in PRC, but for their point of view is Taiwan Island, not a Taiwan Country.

Awful comparison showing you still fail to understand the real issue. Go watch that video before you come back to discussion because it's clear you didn't even bother comprehending my words or having a single glance at example i brought up before replying yet again.

It's not about what Nili can or can't do.

It's about having basic human decency and caring about well-being of people who visit you. It's very possible nothing will come out of it and i pray that will be the case. However there is also a real risk Yo's career, financial stability, ability to visit future LANs could be jeopardized by this incident.

I think so far my favorite casting duos have been Dash/Hera and Dave/Lidakor. I really appreciate Lidakor's casting. Nili/T90 is a bit much since they both indulge one another's jokes, not totally my sense of humor. I've really enjoyed the casting/games/production overall though.

The event so far is great. The production team is absolutely hilarious and full of quality. The casters from top to bottom are all doing amazing. Incredible event so far, I'd imagine the finals are going to be epic.

Hera is playing out of his mind right now. The focus and determination looks like Tatoh from Redbull. I'm really glad he's taking more chances and capitalizing on his advantages. Superb performance by him so far, he is my pick to win it all.

Hera has been a beast this edition, but apparently Viper was feeling sick. He rushed to the hospital a couple hours ago for stomach pain. Hopefully he gets better by his set <3

So far tournament is quite good, except I personally don't like maps, not neccessary maps itself, I just don't get why it was needed to put ponds into so many maps. It feels like half of the maps have ponds and plays out same way, one player loses water and then plays another 15-20min and tries to come back but that barely ever works as guy with fish just gets to imp much faster. Even golden pit became about lakes, already saw few times someone gets 3 lakes and you just wait game to finish for 15min. Golden swamp worst map in tournament by far, feels like watching pretty much same game again and again. I miss atacama or land madness to see some more variety, Or even Cup instead golden swamp, where land actually is an option. I actually start to like northern islands even though I hate water, but that map almost always end up with landing sooner or later and what I like about it too that is one of few maps which often actually plays out about who holds middle gold. As most maps like golden pit usually ends up with treb war, but northern islands actually often ends up about having that gold and out sustaining. That yesterday's game Hera vs Viper was great. Sadly even with way more bans didn't really see many new civs yet, but I like the idea.

Yeah, too many ponds for my liking. I'm mostly watching the vods though so not only do I not get ads, I can skip a lot of those maps too.

Loving it so far though. Dash has actually been really good, he's knowledgeable enough for it not to be detrimental. The head-enlarging and voice-changing was so funny. Really enjoying that playfulness. Will be sad when it ends!

Unless Hera and Leireyy meet in the final then Hera is going to steamroll this one easily.

really great stuff. i don't love Dash too much, although he has improved a lot. He is a great Caster and presenter but i think he takes too much room in the casting and his style seems a bit generic sometimes, a bit like a FIFA 18 commentator.

Mr Yo handled it well, instantly distanced himself from it and left the subject but with how China is, he could still get in trouble for that. I really hope he won't face backlash after returning home... very poor behavior by Nili. He should be aware of possible consequences for the player and yet he still chose to do that...
Man, this sucks. Mr Yo had to miss out on previous two huge LANs and when he finally managed to arrive at one, he gets quickly thrown under the bus by the organizer.
