I think it makes more sense to save the time you waste with SQ and put that effort into things that are more interesting, deep or strategic.
Is single queuing a skill? Absolutely, a mechanical skill. I rather have the pro player (or myself) using that time in a different kind of skill that is more interesting than bashing the keyboard non-stop like a keyboard monkey.
The overall difficulty of the matches will remain the same. Players will raise the standards of other aspects of gameplay thanks to the time freed by MQ.
So I don't think MQ reduces the skill at all. That is more dependant on the amount of players playing serious and competing.
