Could we make the civ setting like KOTD with draft? Right now, the setting countain way too much mirror match up
exemple:
Ro32: bo5
G1: Hidden pick from: (Berbers, Magyars, Vikings)
G2: Loser picks civs for both (No mirror)
G3: Switch from G2
G4: Mirror
G5: Goth war
g1 berber wars g4 mirror g5 mirror, 3 mirror games in a BO5, I mean even for the viewer this kind of setting are boring, they watch one match ok, then the 3 others one they will see the same repetition.
I think using setting like KOTD would be way better, and less boring. I already told you some player you want to have in the tournament, wont play if there is too much mirror or repetitive civ. Also the prizepool is poor for now, hopefully will grow with the Show Match.
Add a few bans, and that would be absolutely amazing! (Or just specify 8 civs in each round that neither player can use, changing each round, for more variety)Could we make the civ setting like KOTD with draft? Right now, the setting countain way too much mirror match up

What will the rules on streaming be for MOA5?
The rules are clear for moa5; If you don’t play it, you can’t stream itWhat will the rules on streaming be for MOA5?

Question about this:
"GF: bo9
G1-G5: You can use one civ from each expansion once(AoK, AoC, FE, AK, RoR). After using a civilization from an expansion, you can not pick another civilization from that expansion."
Does this mean Hidden Pick and no fixed order? (for example G1: FE Civ vs RoR Civ)
I assume MoA5 will be played with the new balance changes?
Not sure its good idea to play with one version of the game at the start and than switch it with another during the tournament.

I dont see why not, balance changes like this dont remove the core gameplay of a civ, if anything it makes the players think a little more, which isnt a bad thing imo.

Usually i dont like adding examples from different games/sports but its like change the type of balsl during the World Cup. Players should be allowed to prepare according to some settings. Minor changes balance changes may not seem important but in competative environment Im not sure tbh. Nations Cup was played on 1.4 the whole tournament despite he final stages esp the Final easily could be on 1.5 but they kept the settings as its the same tournament.
For MoA5 I think is best to start with the new balance even if its only Beta on Hd and not rated on Voobly. Its good chance to be up to date and help test the balance. Also allow the players prepare for the tournament in a way they dont have to reajust. Alsowe will get to see how the new balance works quite fast . But thats my PoV its your call ofc.
1) Sometimes the player walls cross each other, 1 guy can delete his wall to go into enemy base while other guy can't do so. It should be an autorestart IMO, one of the player is in clear disadvantage and he's likely forced to restart. You don't want to use your only restart (in 5 games for example) on this bug. Also in this position it's very common that one guy ends with 3 boars/2 deer patches/enemy sheep in his base and it might be tricky to realize this.
2) I think in the start everyone was hoping for filling the 64 spots, that was considered an achievement. Right now we have 82 players + couple will definitely sign up still, so we will likely have 90 - 100 players. Is it still gonna be only 64 player tournament so around 1/3 of the players can't play? I mean tournaments are the motivation for ALL players, MoA5 will be huge and if I were 15 - 17x player I'd be pretty sad that I can't play KotD, MoArena always used to be open for all. Just my opinion.
However you have to consider that from 64 players the next step is 128. Which is HUGE, the admin work alone scares me 11. That round also would be unlikely to be filled completely. I think 64 is a nice number for an "open" tournament.

1) The situation you are describing is considered by the tournament admins as a bugged map, meaning an admin re.
2) I understand your opinion and maybe if we would have known this many people wanted to play from the start we would have done things differently.
