GGs. Any experts want to explain why Slam would give MbL turks in response to getting Franks?

I asked him for a potentially upcoming interview.
Wouldn't call myself an expert but what I think he had in mind: Massed knights do good vs a Turk pushing you with Jans in Castle / HC in early Imp. Also weak monks for the Turks (no extra range, no fast regeneration) in Imperial so hard to convert Frankish bombard cannons.
