Masters of Arena 6 Announcement

The legendary tournament returns after 3 years: Masters of Arena 6! We’ve had Clown Cups, Lords of the Arena and great show matches, but now it’s time to truly settle who is AoE2:DE’s best player on its greatest map.

The players will battle it out on a brand new version of the only map that truly matters for a $3000 prize pool sponsored entirely by the viewers of the tournament hosts Jonslow and Dracken.

Together with the lovely Chrazini we developed the new map - Clown Arena! It has a smaller middle area, so the players spawn closer to each other and need to play more aggressively. That’s what we want to see: more forward castles, all-in strategies and new, creative ways to play our favorite map!

The tournament has open sign ups with 72 spots. The top 8 players at the end of the signup period start playing in the Main Event. The others start in the Round of 64 of a Qualifier Stage, from which 8 more players will ultimately make it into the Main Event. The whole tournament will last about a month.

72 players with the highest average of a mix of current and highest achieved Elo will be able to qualify and registrations are open till Friday June 18th 22:00 GMT.

There are hidden criteria when you sign up for the tournament that we add to the rating.
Being an Arena clown: +5000 points
Friend of Arena: +4000 points
Not banning Arena in the queue: +3000 points
winning any previous MoA edition: +50 points
But also:
Picking only 1 civ on Arena: -1000 points
Participating in DM World Cup: -2000 points
Banning Arena in the queue: -5000 points
'the dumbest map ever': DQed
